It’s interesting that the opening scenes of Sony’s intro video made me feel skeptical instead of impressed. Yeah, it’s pretty, but Sony seems to have looking good down pat. What they haven’t had much luck with lately is capturing the hearts (and therefore the wallets) of gamers. What I was hoping for from this presentation was to see the library that can support the PS3 and turn it into the massive success that the PS2 has been....
Hamza Aziz and I just picked up our E3 media badges from the Los Angeles Convention Center and were pleasantly surprised to see two of our most anticipated games plastered on the badge holders. In addition, the laynards supplied for the badges are adorned with images ofThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordand text that reads “The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary”. Brian Provinciano, the mad man responsible forRetro City Rampage, has exclusively revealed to Destructoid that his retro-style homage to gaming will now be coming out on Xbox Live Arcade Summer 2011. With that good news comes with some sad news as the WiiWare version ofRetro City Rampagewill now be coming out in Fall 2011, months after the XBLA version. Although the release date comes later than originally planned, both versions of the game will now include more content, such as more missions and more playable characters....

Yup, we have got a trailer after the break, and it contains a whopping 12 seconds or so of the actual game. While it’s hardly enough content to let us know if our excitement (or lack thereof) is justified, it servers as a decent teaser, I guess. If there’s one thing that needs to be said to all developers — not just the team behindBroken Destiny— it’s that you should never include the word “broken” anywhere in your game’s title unless you are confident it’s going to be perfection of the genre....
Hey, Florida! Way to be. Your House justunanimously passed tax breaksfor videogame developers. If the bill is passed into law, and most signs point to that happening, entertainment companies will get a 20 percent tax credit as opposed to the previous 15 percent one if they work in Florida. There’s even more credits if you’re making a family friendly piece of entertainment or if production occurs during the off season of June to November....

I don’t know how much longer it will remain free, so grab it ASAP. I Must Run!feels very similar to Canabalt in terms of style, albeit with much more color and more interactivity....

It features cool art and it’s pretty challenging to boot.
