Despitegaining notoriety for its “inferiority”, the PlayStation 3 version ofCall of Duty: Black Opshas been today heralded as the best selling PS3 title of all time. And that, folks, is why Activision doesn’t have to bother shipping finished products! The evil publisher did not release any definitive sales figures, but said it drew the conclusion from NPD, Chart-Track and GfK. To accomplish this feat when the game only released in November 2010 is pretty astounding, whether you like the game or not....

It does a good job of showing you the modes in an entertaining way and explains how you’ll be playing each mode. It’s really rare to see something so well edited for a videogame trailer. PC peripheral and hardware manufacturer Razer is interested in bringing motion-tracking technology to the PC. And they’re doing it with the help of SIXENSE Entertainment andHalf-Lifedeveloper Valve. In an official release blasted this morning, Razer unveiled its plan to bring a motion-tracking and gesture controller to the personal computer with the help of SIXENSE, a California-based company with a commitment to motion-based tech. Also announced were Razer’s plans to show off a prototype of the controller with Valve’sLeft 4 Dead 2on the CES show floor during the week....

Last night at a CES Xbox House Party event, i got to lay eyes (and hands) on the upcoming XBLA release ofBeyond Good and Evil HD. This is a port of the 2003 fan favorite, now with a lovely HD upgrade. I mean, the game was already lovely, and it would still hold up nicely today, but lots of work has been put into this upgrade, and it now looksreal purdy....

There’s been a general consensus among Destructoid staff and readership alike that clarification of our reviews process and metrics has been sorely needed for some time, and it’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. I preorderedBatman: Arkham Asylumfor the PlayStation 3 for one reason only: to get my hands on the eight, PS3-exclusive Joker challenge rooms where you can take control of the Clown Prince of Crime himself. To my surprise, Rocksteady was actually displaying one of the eight challenge rooms on the E3 show floor (next to the awfully cool-lookingArkham Asylumbooth, which had been decked out to look like the actual Arkham Asylum). Being the massive Batman fanboy that I am, I dashed to the first available booth in an effort to see how the Joker handled....

At this afternoon’s EA press conference, EA Sports president announced two major facts aboutEA Sports MMA, the publisher’s upcoming mixed martial arts game. Two of the headlining fighters in the game,Fedor Emelianenkoand Randy Couture, will share the cover. And we finally have a release date: October 19th. I guess there’s one more thing: presumably,EA Sports MMA— which Peter Moore called a “tentative” title when he announced the game at E3 2009 — is the final name of the game....
