Call of Duty: Black Ops the best selling PS3 game ever

Despitegaining notoriety for its “inferiority”, the PlayStation 3 version ofCall of Duty: Black Opshas been today heralded as the best selling PS3 title of all time. And that, folks, is why Activision doesn’t have to bother shipping finished products! The evil publisher did not release any definitive sales figures, but said it drew the conclusion from NPD, Chart-Track and GfK. To accomplish this feat when the game only released in November 2010 is pretty astounding, whether you like the game or not....

Could gamers be the next generation of spies? British Intelligence wants YOU

Talk of in-game advertising is something that’s slowly and quietly gathered around our ankles like some dank and sweaty mist over the past year or so. While not a new concept, those with keen eyes will notice that companies are looking at games more and more as marketing tools. Even Government Communications Headquarters, a branch of British Intelligence, is looking to jump on the bandwagon. The GCHQ’s recruitment partner, TMP Worldwide, is going to be looking at using games to score new employees for the British Intelligence department....

In this installment of Destructoid LIVE, Niero Gonzalez, Jonathan Holmes, Chad Concelmo and Jim Sterling each talk about their favorite moment as writers for the best independent gaming blog in the world. Destructoid Reviews: The Official Guide

There’s been a general consensus among Destructoid staff and readership alike that clarification of our reviews process and metrics has been sorely needed for some time, and it’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. Our reviews have changed a lot in the last six months or so, and the occasional redefinition of our aims and goals with the content is never a bad thing, especially if it keeps us level withour homies....

Does wanting to shag Rouge make me a furry? New Sonic Chronicles artwork

What? She’s an anthropomorphic bat, yes. This I understand. But she also looks like atotal slagwho’d go all the way for a handful of Pringles. That makes her worth a deposit in the tossbank as far as I am concerned. Anyway, with that ghastly business out of the way, it’s time to present these newSonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhoodimages. It’s a shedload of character renders, a stupid amount of near-identical box shots (different languages oh my God!...

E3 09: Playing as the Joker in Arkham Asylum

I preorderedBatman: Arkham Asylumfor the PlayStation 3 for one reason only: to get my hands on the eight, PS3-exclusive Joker challenge rooms where you can take control of the Clown Prince of Crime himself. To my surprise, Rocksteady was actually displaying one of the eight challenge rooms on the E3 show floor (next to the awfully cool-lookingArkham Asylumbooth, which had been decked out to look like the actual Arkham Asylum). Being the massive Batman fanboy that I am, I dashed to the first available booth in an effort to see how the Joker handled....
