Move support, playable Zurg only in Toy Story 3 for PS3

Apparently, PlayStation 3 is the game console of choice for villains. First there was Darth Vader inSoulcalibur IV, then the Joker inBatman: Arkham Asylum, and now it’s been revealed that you can control Emperor Zurg inToy Story 3if you own the PS3 version. Also exclusive to PlayStation 3 is Move support, which makes a lot more sense. Specifically, the motion controller will be limited to minigames, with a shooting gallery the only example given....

New Sacred 2 trailer involves skeleton face punching

CDV kindly sent me over a new trailer forSacred 2: Fallen Angel, involving one of my favorite things ever — awesome skeletons. As a bonus, it also has the punching of skeleton faces, which just adds to the greatness. I am still undecided on the game itself. In theory, it sounds like a neat RPG to tide me over until the next high profile game, but it seems that reactions have been mixed....

New Vegas: Dead Money gets a WHOPPING two screens!

‘Tis the week before Christmas, and all though the house, no game news happens, not evenSplatterhouse. Or something. Anyway, as if to rub our faces in it, Bethesda has released a paltry two screenshots forFallout: New Vegas: Dead Money. Somehow having two screens is worse than having none at all, as it accentuates just how little content we actually have. Anyway, if you want to look at a Nightkin having a bit of a sit-down, and a statue doing not a lot of nothing at all, then here you go....

Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! 2 footage; touching is confusingly stimulating

The originalOsu! Tatake! Ouendan!ushered in an era of acceptable male cheerleading the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the 1989 Rose Bowl between the Ball State Nancies and the University of South Carolina Anthropomorphic Phalluses. The sequel looks to reinvigorate the Japanese obsession with all things pom and pom, by giving people exactly what they’re looking for in a game revolving aruond male-cheerleaders-cum-superheroes:more JPop! The above clip was lifted straight from the Nintendo DS Demo Station version ofOsu!...

Pachter chimes in on Netflix for Xbox 360

We’ve remained hopeful after hearing the early rumors that the Netflix movie streaming service may be coming to consoles. Since then, we haven’t heard any new news. But, if you’re like me, you’re constantly reminded of the rumor whenever you boot up the service on your computer. I watchedPablo Francisco’scomedy DVD on my television the other day, which was streamed from my PC via Netflix. It’s not terribly difficult to connect a PC to a television to use this feature, but it would be so much easier to use the already connected internet-enabled consoles we own....

Paipa on Xbox Live Indie Games is a decent dollar game

I just played the demo for this XBL Indie Game,Paipa, and it’s pretty fun. A steampunk-themed puzzle game where you’re trying to keep Her Majesty’s ship afloat. Her Majesty’s ship that’s on a non-stop flight toMars, that is. Not that the concept matters too much, but I like the flavor. In the game, you keep water from flooding by creating pathways of pipes from one side of the screen to the other....

Pokemon drawn in traditional Japanese style art

This guywho is Japanese and I can’t read anything on the site and none of my Japanese speaking translators are online right now, drew 251Pokemonin traditional Japanese art style. After looking through all of the pictures, I have to say that I would gladly accept this style over the cute crap that we’re used to withPokemon. Nintendo, you want to regain some hardcore players? Then change the Pokemon to look like this, include blood and fatalities too....

Preview: AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack

At the end of September, Wal-Mart unveiled theirexclusive AC/DCRock Bandtie-in. Billed asAC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, the standalone videogame features 18 tracks taken from an iconicAugust 1991 concert at Castle Donington in England. But at $29.88 for the PS2 and $39.88 for the PS3/360/Wii versions, it may be a bit too pricey to sell as well as Harmonix, MTV, EA, and Wal-Mart want it to sell. Still, for big AC/DC fans like me who have dreamed of playing these songs with a guitar controller,AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Packcertainly represents a level of wish fulfillment that is rare in videogames....
