It was only a few weeks ago that we found out that Square-Enix would bedistributing Ubisoft titles for Japan, and now it seems that they are continuing to make good on their promise to introduce more American titles to Japanese audiences by striking up a deal with Activision to publish the most recent 007 title,Quantum of Solace, in Japan. This is a great thing to help expose Japanese audiences to a wider range of games, but I can’t help but to selfishly wish there was a reverse version of this strategy where Square worked hard to distribute all the incredible Japanese-only games I drool over in the US....

The days of PC controlling the realm of real-time strategy titles have come to an end! Gas Powered Games’ PC real-time strategy titleSupreme Commanderis coming to the Xbox 360 in “early 2008.” Hellbent Games and Aspyr Media will be working on the console port of the title, which will feature exclusive new units, updated maps, and new multiplayer modes. Of course, the game will also feature full Xbox Live support, as well as the pre-requisite “revised, console-specific control interface and HUD,” whatever that might mean....

Some flyers promoting the launch event had been photoshopped with the promise of a “mystery gift” by some nefarious villains, who then went around the Nintendo World Store with plans to distribute a Level 50 Shiny Gengar....

The first game that I played at TGS wasOnechanbara SPECIAL!. We here at Destructoid have along historywith theOnechanbaraseries. That’s probably why I was drawn to it. I found this familiar, bikini-clad, zombie murdering fiasco to be quite comforting as I began to navigate the foreign landscape of Japan. Also, there was no line! I wonder why… The game seems to be taking it’s cues from the Wii build of the game, and includes all four of the playable characters from that title… on its billboard....

Well, new to him at any rate. Capcom has released two gameplay trailers for Tokyo Game Show which have a focus on moves that Spencer can perform with his bionic arm in the upcomingBionic Commando ReArmed 2. A couple of them, such as a circular whip motion and ground pound, will probably be familiar to those who played the 3DBionic Commandofrom last year. A really useful move is shown quite a bit in the second video below....

So, to be honest — when I heard there was a newEdgeworthgame, I was kind of annoyed. I liked the firstEdgeworth, but I’ve been waiting for the nextApollo Justicegame forever. This trailer has changed my mind. In addition to having a fantastic soundtrack, it also looks like we’re getting some more information on Shelly de Killer. Even though he was in the lamest (relatively speaking) of thePhoenix Wrightgames, I find him one of the most interesting villains of the series....

His move sets were too complicated, too strategic for my desperate flailing and mashing approach in playing the arcade games.
