THQ released a new trailer forHomefronttoday, and I think it does exactly what they wanted it to do. I think it’s the bit with the mass graves that does the trick. Almost enough to make you shudder. If Kaos Studios keeps this up,Homefrontcould become one of 2011’s first really memorable experiences. I’m certainly pulling for it, as you don’t often get such a bold scenario out of a videogame. I’m a sucker for game related stuff. Shirts, jackets, cups, hats, etc… I don’t buy much, but I love that it exists. With the newestPortal 2merch, however, I may make a purchase. And while one of my biggest gripes with the Wii is its inefficiency in handling ports from other consoles, I have to admit that (if this video is any indication) EA looks to be on the right track.Surprisingly, the damn thing looks pretty fun. Granted, there are about half a dozen times when the playtester makes a gesture and the game doesn’t recognize it, and it’s disappointing that the driving is handled through the analog stick instead of gestures (asCoD 3andWarioWare: Smooth Movesexecuted so well) but you’ve gotta admit that this looks to be a much better port than, say,Splinter Cell....

The Xbox 360 recently enjoyed a price cut in North America, and a quasi-price cut in the UK (the Elite price was lowered, but the Arcade price was raised). Naturally, Japan is the next stage, with Microsoft Hong Kongdeclaring that tomorrowwill be the magic day. Microsoft Japan will allegedly hold a press conference in Tokyo tomorrow where the price cut will officially be announced. However, the cheaper systems won’t be on store shelves until September 10....

The ESRB has posted a rating for the upcoming relaunch of the classic party trivia gameYou Don’t Know Jackrumored to be published by THQ. The game, which will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii has received a “T” rating by the board for “Crude Humor, Drug Reference, Language, Mild Blood,” and, “Sexual Themes.” That sounds about right to me. I do believe I have played every singleYou Don’t Know Jackrelease on PC, often forcing unwitting guests in my home to play along upon threat of bodily harm....

I have never heard ofBiodroid Productions(or, for that matter,ZBluCops) until this morning, but let me assure you, as soon as I saw the sentence “ZbluCopsis an action/adventure game that aims to bring back to videogames the humour characteristic of the 90’s adventure games” on their webpage, I sat up and took notice fast. The game is exclusively for Wii and adapted from the French comic, which places you in a classic good versus evil scenerio where a team of ZBluCops takes on an evil meglomaniac and his team of baddies hellbent on destroying the town of ZBluville....
