Talk about timing! While I was playingKillzone 3‘s badass multiplayer at PAX Prime, two Helghast came swaggering through Sony’s booth with their dancing shoes on. Then Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” started to blast through the speakers and, well … just take a look at the video. Not only was this an awesome thing to witness, it also meant that everyone playingKillzone 3with me was distracted. While the Helghast danced, I went and planted some bombs in the enemy’s base, thus winning the round and regaining my crown as the official King of Videogames....

Pirates, ninjas, zombies, robots, and three unannounced teams (I’m rooting for werewolves) playing dodgeball together? It’s just crazy enough to work. We already know thatPirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeballis prepped to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade next week, but Gamecock has given us word that a Wii version is also in the works. The Wii port will be popping up in stores this winter and will contain a few enhancements such as: new story and challenge modes, as well as the obvious control scheme change to “better” suit the Wii....

Forbes’Chris Morris says that it’s “insanely early” to start talking about the next generation of videogame consoles. I agree, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from talking about it here lately. At E3 earlier this month, I heard the name “Xbox 720” dropped about a half a dozen times over the course of about a week. Of course, you have to throw about half of it out as speculative bullsh*t, but there has to be a reason why it’s being mentioned so much lately....

Dungeon Siege IIIhaschanged a bitsince the last game, but that doesn’t mean Obisidian has forgotten about the series’ PC roots. The upcoming third installment is coming to Steam with all the Steamworks stuff you’re used to, which should make jumping into a co-op game easier. Those two games will each last you 20-30+ hours easily if I remember the time I spent on them back in the day; they were really ridiculously long....

WhenNeed For Speed: The Runwas premiered at EA’s E3 Press Conference back in June, it made quite an impression on the press and series fans. The one feature to stick out was the inclusion of the on foot sequences, which was seen as a bit tad irreverent from fans. Transformers: Dark of the Moonthe videogame is a prologue to the upcoming movie and helps to setup some of the events and characters you’ll see in the upcoming Michael Bay explosion-fest. Now that developer High Moon Studios is in charge of the development, the controls and gameplay will largely be similar to that ofTransformers: War for Cybertron. You’ll have two main weapons, both of which can also be used when in the new Stealth Force mode which is where you can use your weapons while in vehicle mode....

The Memor 32 is basically a modchip on a a memory card. The device uses a USB connection to allow loading and unloading of save games to and from the PC, but less savory/more clever gamers have managed to do more with the device through ahack, which allows the loading of backups and homebrew software through the connection. While this may be a sneakier way to sell a modchip, we’ll point out that the product is being sold by thevery same sitethat was recently busted and later slapped with a $9 million lawsuit by Sony....

Not to drop nerdy tech terms on you this early in the morning, but we thought some of what went into (or came out of!) Sony’s first 3D PlayStation 3 games was quite interesting. It seems that they had to rework some things and reduce detail to get some wiggle room in games likeWipEout HDandMotorstorm: Pacific Rift. TakeWipEout: The original 2D version ran at a slick 1080p. The 3D needed to be bumped down to 720p to free up some pixel processing power....

Capcom has released a demo version ofResident Evil 4for the iPhone, calledResident Evil 4 Lite. As demos usually go, you can get it for free on the App Store, and will have the chance to try out the game’s first chapter. The full game costs $6.99, but is it worth it? The newest issue of Famitsu has some promising news for survival horror fans, namely that a demo for the much-hypedResident Evil 5will be showing up on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on December 5. Although the demo is only confirmed for Japan at this point, and access to it will only be granted to XBL Gold members, that’s not about to stop you guys, now is it? Besides, Capcom was extremely generous with an early demo forLost Planetway back when, so the idea isn’t too far-fetched....
