As seems to be a standard this days,Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Dayswill be getting a paper-and-ink spin-off to accompany the game’s release. You better enjoy it before Lynch becomes irreversiblyassociated with Jamie Foxx. The comic will be produced by DC’s Wildstorm label and penned by Ian Edginton. So far it’s not been revealed if this will be a prequel, an adaptation ofDog Days, or a completely original story, but “violent mayhem” has been promised....

Love it or hate it, you have to admit thatLost Planetis the best third-person shooter featuring a snowy planet filled with giant bugs to come out on current gen systems. Those who skipped out on the game, however, may want to continue tonotplay it untilLost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Editionis released on May 27 for the Xbox 360 and PC, as it contains new maps, characters, modes, and more. Some of the new contentColoniesincludes is shown in the gallery below, including the mode “Akrid Hunter,” which finally puts you in control of those damned oversized bugs....
Most (okay,all) videogame to film adaptations are only loosely based on their source, and it sounds like the previously announcedLost Planetfilm will follow suit. “[There] probably [won’t be] so much of a reference to this particular title [Lost Planet 2],” Lost Planet producer Jun Takeuchitold G4. “However, the only thing I know is those people working on the project that they love the world ofLost Planet. So, we know that they’re going to utilize that world, but as far as the story line goes, the movie is completely different from the game....

SEGA has revealed that popular nemesis Metal Sonic will be a part ofSonic Generations, acting as a “rival” character. What’s more, he’s getting his classic look, as seen inSonic CD. Not much has been revealed about Metal Sonic’s role, but SEGA’s choice of words — designating him as “one of” the rivals — seems to imply he’ll be one of several past villains to make a comeback. Metal Sonic’s got a massive fanbase, so this is sure to go over quite well....
There’s no denying that Microsoft has enjoyed several benefits from releasing the Xbox 360 as the first console of this generation. Not only did it give gamers eager to experience “next-gen” titles the first opportunity to do so – resulting in a comfy year’s lead in sales – but it also established Xbox Live and Marketplace as the console standard of online play and digital content purchasing. It should therefore come as no surprise that they’re planning to recapture that same lead in the next console generation....
Modern Warfare 2isn’t exactly the most culturally sensitive of games. However, one Pakistani gamer has noticed some real racial ignorance from Infinity Ward — exposing the apparent fact that IW believes anybody who is brown must be some sort of Arab. “I, being a Pakistani, was so excited at seeing a Karachi map and then immediately so disappointed when I played the map,” one Karachi resident tellsKotaku. The problem is this: All the writing featured in the Karachi map is in Arabic, despite the fact this is supposed to be Karachi....
I’m very glad to see you folks found a lot of things to be terrified by last month — October included some of my favorite Musings by you guys, ever. Let’s hope that November will, if not surpass October, at least get a little close. This month’s theme is“A Time to Build”. WithLittleBigPlanetout and (sort of) functioning, one can’t help but think of those games which, rather than forcing the player through a linear series of missions, either provide the player with an external toolset to create their own experiences (like theFar Cry 2mapmaker), or somehow integrate those creative elements into the game proper (like, say,Crayon Physics Deluxe)....
