Continuing its coverage of the New Xbox Experience,Gamerscoreblog usesthis week’s update to inform us about the significant changes that are being made to the Game Marketplace. Right off the bat you’ll notice how the new Marketplace is much more visual than the current model. Navigating to newer and popular releases (likeCastle Crashersin the image above) will be easier than it is with the interface we’re using right now. Also worth noting is that once you go to a game’s page (as seen in the gallery below withHalo 3), screenshots, trailers, and all available downloads for the title in question are only a few button presses away....

The latest publisher to join the forces ofGood Old Gamesis none other than Empire Interactive, which is fantastic news for anyone who enjoys a good helicopter simulator or finds virtual pinball to be pure bliss. Two of Empire’s games,Enemy Engaged: Apache vs. HavocandPro Pinball Timeshock, are available immediately for $5.99 each. A few of the company’s other titles are on the horizon, including:Combat Chess,Pro Pinball Big Race USA, andPro Pinball Fantastic Journey....

Based on the success of the recentGhost Recon Advanced Warfighter, most of us pretty much considered it a lock that this fresh take on the Tom Clancy series would return. Well, Ubisoftconfirmedtoday that it would — look for it as soon as spring 2007. The game is slated to come to nearly every console (sorry Wii fans, your console just doesn’t have the guts). Fans will be able to pick up a copy for either the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP or PC....

Here’s some pre-alpha footage ofGrim Dawn, an upcoming action-roleplaying-game fromTitan Questdeveloper Crate Entertainment. Take the originalHalocompositions by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori and give them to Japanese composers to toy with, and you’ll have some idea of what to expect from the score of Halo Legends, the animation extravaganza that explores the Halo universe. The score was handed off to veteran composers Tetsuya Takahashi (Sonic: Night of the Werehog, Resident Evil: Degeneration) and Yasuharu Takanashi (Genji: Dawn of the Samurai), so expect good stuff when the OST releases on February 9th on both iTunes andSomething Digital’s website....

Big fat action games are my bread and butter and there’s no denying thatHeavenly Swordis looking like it’ll be the biggest and fattest thus far in this fledgling generation. So a few weeks ago, news broke thatEA wouldn’t be sellingBattlefield 3on Steam, much to the chagrin of many PC gamers. Ol’ Mr. Cool Glasses, Mr. Metal Gear himself, gets promoted to Vice President. Hideo Kojima, becomes VP at Konami Digital Entertainment on April 1st. No kidding.
