Popular Flash gameThe Fancy Pants Adventuresis coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network next year, courtesy of Electronic Arts. The Humansis not a new game — itfirst appeared on the Mega Driveback in 1982. However, it’s not s surprise to see that someone might want to remake theLemmings-esque title, and Deep Silver has done just that, announcing the game for the DS and PC. We are alive during a very important time in gaming. The 360 and the PS3 are capable of things never before imaginable on a home console. The Wii, for all its flaws, may revolutionize contemporary control mechanics. And several upcoming games, with (relatively) close release dates, may also do their part in changing the face of gaming. These games don’t do anything outrightrevolutionary— for the most part, many of these games simply take existing genres (the space RPG, the action game, etc) and implement one or two wholly original game mechanics that change the way the entire title is played....

It looks like the same cracked out marketing team behind Dante’s Inferno is also hard at work on promoting Visceral’s other big game, Dead Space 2. A bizarre little tease has hit the Internet by way of the officialDead SpaceTwitter account, some kind of Rorschach ink blot crammed with subtle Dead Space images. You might very well be able to spot some Necromorph shapes among the nonsense, and those who are really into the game should recognize the Unitology symbols as well....

At E3 last week it was revealed that a newTime Crisisgame is coming. SubtitledRazing Storm, it wasn’t initially a Move game, but it seems that it will be the first game to be bundled with a Move controller. “There is a possibility this might be bundled with one of the attachments for the Move, but I can’t guarantee it,” brand manager Brad Stradling toldIncGamers. “It’s a rumor,” he told them, making quote fingers....

When it comes to downloadable content on consoles, Criterion Games is leading the way. Taking a fun game (Burnout Paradise) and thensignificantly expandingit to the point where the original concept is unrecognizable is not something many studios are willing or able to do. Now, while you might expect some trademark cynicism in a post about how UK prime minister Gordon Brown wants to look into violent videogames and how we can protect children from their evil ways, it might refresh you to read that, for once, I am somewhat encouraged bythis news. In his monthly press conference, Mr. Brown stated that he wants to work with all parties involved in this debate, from parents to the entertainment industry, and reach a mutually beneficial resolution when it comes to protecting the sprogs from violence and pornography....

The VooFoo Studios PS3/PSN gameHustle Kingswas used as a starting point for the upcoming NGP version of the same name. This version is pool on-the-go, on a shiny OLED screen, with touchscreen controls that let you line up and take shots and choose options. There’s plenty of online functionality in the portable version ofHustle Kings. In this one you’ll be able to get your asynchronous gameplay on, with push notifications that will tell your opponent that it is his turn....

DespiteTop Spin 4not getting Kinect support, it’s not stopping Sega from letting you “accidentally” punch in-laws in your living room withVirtua Tennis 4. The game will support Move and 3D on the PS3, Kinect, and your usual Wii controls. A new World Tour career mode now lets you make decisions which will affect your player’s career path to add replayability. you may now also fill a new Match Momentum gauge on the court for a burst of “improved ability”....

Most of you will have at least heard of theLeft Behindseries. For those that haven’t, they’re a series of screwed up PC titles that allow Christian extremists to either convert or kill non-believers. In a somewhat terrifying twist, users can pray after each kill to rid themselves of guilt. I’m totally against the idea that videogames can cause violence, but the twisted Christian morality in theLeft Behindgames is more than a little creepy....
