Some felt that idea worked, others did not, but developer A2M wouldn’t mind another crack of the whip,suggesting thatthere’s plenty of potential for more games in the “iconic”WETuniverse. “I think it’s fair to say that we definitely built a very iconic universe whose span is bigger than this first installment,” saidWETcreative director Patrick Fortier. I thought the game showed promise, and loved the silly Tarantino-esque vibe that was given off, not to mention those awesome rampage moments....

They say that everything worth inventing has been invented. While cool, this Nintendo Entertainment System controller doorbell fails to disprove such a notion. Although the controller has been rigged in such a way that hitting any button, including the d-pad, causes the doorbell to go off, the result is simply a standard ring. AsGossipGamers suggests, theSuper Mario Bros. theme would have been more fitting, but I would have gone with theMega Man 2boss intro song just for the hell of it....

It’s been a while since the Internet had its semi-regular Duke Nukem Forever mention, solet’s have another. 3D Realms boss George Broussard is happy to let the world know that things are coming together for the game, and that the game has several hours of gameplay to show for ten years of development. “It’s going really well,” states Broussard. “There are several hours of fairly polished game to play. It wasn’t easy being Alec Baldwin in the ’80s. It’s a fact. The PSP is nowhere near as popular or widespread in the west as it is in Japan. As such, some of the PSP’s best titles such asMonster Hunter Freedom Uniteand various fighting games, are simply more difficult to play, since they rely on local “Ad Hoc connections” to use in multiplayer. It’s just hard to get four (or more) PSP owners to hang out in the same place at the same time on a regular basis....

Ah yes, the Marines. TheAliens vs. Predatorclass that is not entirely terrible to play as, but pales in comparison to the fun times you can have controlling an Alien or a Predator. As this new trailer for Gas Powered Games’Supreme Commander 2reminds us, the real-time strategy title has a story. Consider me simple-minded if you like, but when my thoughts come into contact with this game, humans are nowhere to be found. An army of mechanical spiderlings? Um,yes! The remains of a UFO-shaped robot plummeting toward the battlefield? Relevant to my interests, you could say. Conflict between human factions? It’s not far from the truth to say I may involuntarily zone out after witnessing such events unfold....

If you visited Atlus’ official Web site before the weekend, be warned. It’s possible thata filthy trojan virusfound its way onto your PC, courtesy of some scumbags who hacked into the niche game publisher’s site and embedded a nasty bit of computer rape. Atlus has warned its fans that if they visited the site between 9:00AM PST and 2:30PM PST on Friday, they could be infected. The site was taken offline to prevent the spread of infection, and naturally Atlus has urged users to run a malware scan immediately....
