Travellers Tales has released info on LEGO Batman vehicles

After a near-constant barrage of screenshots and information about the assorted characters inLEGO Batman, Travellers Tales has been fairly quiet lately. Did they finally run out of things to show off? Hardly. Along with the new trailer above, which shows off some of Batman and Robin’s assorted vehicles, we’ve also received a glut of screenshots featuring many of the other methods of transport available to you in the game. Ranging from the minimalist Police motorcycle to the absurd (and awesome) ice cream truck that the Joker tools around in, each of the more than a dozen vehicles feature their own special abilities and quirks....

Tricia Helfer returning as EDI in Mass Effect 3

Who knew it would be so difficult to find a picture of actress Tricia Helfer wearing actual clothing? I needed something for this story, in which I tell you that Helfer will be returning to lend her voice to BioWare’sMass Effect 3. She dropped the word onTwitter, earlier this week, saying she just finished her “first voice session.” The tweet also revealed she uses a BlackBerry, and I couldn’t roll my eyes back far enough upon hearing that news....

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s box art has two sides

Pushing the fight against two universes one step further,Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3will have reversible cover art in North America. The default box art is the work of Capcom illustrator Shinkiro; on the other side is a comic-style piece byMark Brooks. High-resolution versions of both are attached. Which do you prefer? It’s a tough call. Either way, I figure if we continue making a big dealover these covers, this trend may one day become the norm....

Vaz: Violent videogames worse than violent movies

Lying hypocrite Keith Vaz is at it again. The corrupt Labor politician has once again brought up the subject of violent videogames, perhaps because it distracts everybody from his shady legal deals and questionable expense accounts. In any case, he wants cigarette-style warning labels on game boxes, and states that adult videogames are worst than films. “A film with inappropriate content is not interactive,” bullsh*ts Vaz. “The point about video games, which is backed up by research from America, is that the player is part of the process....

Video games are a wasteful detriment to modern society

Now, wait a minute. I’m sure you’re thinking, “Hey, it’s April Fool’s Day, and Reverend Anthony is making fun of his self-indulgent, analytical articles.” You’re wrong. You’re wrong, and you’re wasting your life playing video games. As much as we gamers would love to defend our escapist pastime by calling it “art”, or saying that it has “meaning,” or any one of numerous BS defenses we can mount against the inexorable march of reason and common sense, the fact is inescapable: video games are a waste of time....

Video Games Live to release CD, DVD, Tommy Tallarico plush doll

Video Games Liveis a stunning confluence of high-brow music, the games we all grew up on, and the surprisingly funny antics of the show’s hosts. I can’t quite explain how Mr. Tallarico (one of the co-creators) became so charismatic, but I have heard rumors that he can no longer walk upon hallowed ground without bursting into flames. For those of you unfortunate enough to have never witnessed the spectacle in the flesh, Video Games Live announced (via press release) earlier today that they will be releasing a CD and DVD of a performance they held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last year....

Video: 6 minutes of (Burnout) Paradise

Here’s a video showcasing gameplay for the PlayStation 3 version ofBurnout Paradise. It should be noted that this is a pre-alpha build of the game. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the open-ended world. Not having loading screens for this type of game is a huge plus, because when you want to wreck some sh*t, you don’t do it for a few minutes and then stop all of a sudden — you need to satisfy your appetite for destruction by going on an hour-long rampage....

Viva Pinata in-game content hits eBay

I don’t think this is what J Allard had in mind for Velocity Girl when he hinted at Xbox Live’s community marketplace back atE3 ’06. An enterprisingViva Pinataplayer has begun breeding andselling in-game pinatas via eBay. Currently for sale are 5 Elephanilla; 5 Fourheads; and some creepy thing called a Pigxie. One listing states: This auction is for the service of catching and breeding of an Elephanilla Pinata in the xbox 360 game Viva Pinata....
