Wow, this is crazy stuff. Looks like the proposed takeover of Tecmo by Square Enix isn’t going to happen, because the ailing Tecmo has just started talks with Koei and the two companiesare set to merge. With Tecmo’sNinja GaidenandDoAseries popular in the West, and Koei’sMusougames popular in the East, the two companies are hoping to balance each other out. Following Nintendo’s underwhelming dog and pony show at E3, a whole slew of folks happily jumped on the Nintendo bashing bandwagon. Which really was the only appropriate response. The news aboutDust 514at E3 this yearwas that it’s now a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Well, why? Another installment in a popular series of games being announced at E3? You don’t say! Apparently Sony accidentally published details of aSyphon Filter 4on its US PlayStation website earlier this week. It was quickly pulled, but not before a number of sources grabbed some information, including a logo (pictured above). Other details include the game using an all new engine created by SCE London, and seeing a Q4 2012 release for the PlayStation 3....

Sorry SNES fans, but do you recall all of the great games that the Sega Genesis used to offer? A few come to mind, but one of my personal favorites was an old EA title calledRoad Rash. It was one of those games that two people could play together (while on the same screen..gasp!), and have one hell of a good time in the process. Poor little videogame-lovin’ naked guy. Halloween is literally just around the corner, and he still has no costume! It could be that he can’t decide on who to be. Perhaps someone from one of those games he likes so much… but making a good choice can be overwhelming. There’s so many great characters out there to choose from. Or it could be that he lacks costume-making skills. A lot of the stuff that game characters wear seems too complicated to emulate in real life....

There’s an old joke about Mexico and the Olympics: the reason Mexico can’t field an Olympic team is that every Mexican who can run, jump, and swim has already immigrated to the United States. It’s yet again time for my favorite kind of post —ESRBrating summaries! The Entertainment Software Rating Board has finally tackled Rockstar’sL.A. Noire, and as you’d expect from a Rockstar game, the details are tasty, to say the least. Like always, the ESRB has gone through the violent and sexual content in clinical detail, revealing some hot details. There’s tons of violence, with blood spurts and “realistic” gunfights. Plenty of nudity as well, but perhaps not thebestkind, considering it’s mostly mutilated murder victims with their clothes off....

Well it’s about time. Everything on my TV stand from my HD DVD player, which is now used as a regular DVD player, to my cable box is black. Except for my Wii. Why oh why did you have to throw off my color balance, Nintendo? I know nothing of feng shui, but thiscannotbe good. I don’t know if this shit is based off a movie, or if Vin Diesel just slapped his name on it, but from the 15 seconds of research I did about the game it looks like it’s similar toGTAIVandSaint’s Row. Unsurprisingly, it got a low score from IGN....
