New Blood Bowl screens feature Dwarfs fighting Lizardmen

I may not be very knowledgeable when it comes to football, or even sports in general, but I do know what I like: Lizardmen battling Dwarfs. For that reason and that reason alone, it should come as no surprise that these new images forCyanide’s upcoming PC, Xbox 360, DS, and PSP title,Blood Bowl, have me wanting more. If you hadn’t heard,Blood Bowlis based on the board game of thesame name, but features a real-time mode in addition to turn-based play....

New Far Cry 2 screens show off map editor

I’m a big fan of anything involving the sparking and utilization of fire. WhileAlone in the Darkwas a huge disappointment considering its rampant usage of my weapon of choice,Far Cry 2has revitalized me. The new batch of screens coming from Leipzig are a sight for sore eyes, but most importantly, they show off some of the map editor for the PC version of the game. I know FPS nerds love to place boxes and canisters where they weren’t previously, so feel free to drool....

New Folklore ad makes sex look boring: also, I’m screwing with all of you

Honestly, the PlayStation 3 has been lacking quality titles, but after watching the just released, brand new trailer for the just released, brand newFolklore(see above), my hopes for Sony’s baby have increased triple-fold. I thought I had grown out of this sort of Tim-Burton-meets-Hironobu-Sakaguchi RPG epic until I watched that clip up there and soiled myself with glee. Absolutely everything about that filmscreamsjoy, happiness and golden apples, and honestly if I could procreate with a piece of media, it would be that clip....

New Kingdom Hearts portable games on the way

Fans of the popularKingdom Heartsseries will be pleased to know that Square-Enix hasconfirmed three new titles, one of each coming to the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and mobile phones. Exactly why three separate games are going to three separate platforms is a bit beyond me, unless Squeenix considersKingdom Heartsa system seller, but whatever floats one’s boat. Square-Enix does like to pull that card. The announcement was made at the Tokyo Games Show, although there was no word onKingdom Hearts III....

Nintendo 3DS has 128mb of RAM

Through the magic of x-ray and nerdity we know how much RAM the Nintendo 3DS is working with. Nintendo could have just told us, but instead Chipworks had to pull open the 3DS and get their x-ray machine out. Through part numbers and math and other crap I don’t understand we now know that the Nintendo 3DS has a somewhat healthy 128mb of RAM inside. The number may not sound huge, but know that it’s supposed to be very fast....

No inverted aim, co-op, multiplayer for Splinter Cell HD

Last week Ubisoft released theSplinter Cell HD Trilogy,an HD compilation ofSplinter Cell,Pandora Tomorrow, andChaos Theory. However rather than update the games, they decided to go ahead and remove features entirely. Victims of Ubisoft’s axe include missing multiplayer modes,Chaos Theory‘s co-op campaign, and a complete lack of an option for players who use inverted controls. Ubisoft aren’t only releasing an inferior product under the guise of a pretty HD re-release, but are also alienating customers and a sizable portion of their fan-base....

Rare not sure why Donkey Kong 64 isn’t on Virtual Console

Why hasn’tDonkey Kong 64crept onto Nintendo’s Virtual Console? Most of us aren’t wrenching our bed sheets late at night in haunting thought, but at least one Rare fan is curious as to why the modern classic hasn’t cropped up on the digital distribution service. When asked by this fan in a recentScribes mailbag, the developer responded simply: they haven’t the slightest idea. “I have no idea whyDK64hasn’t shown up yet, and whether Jetpac would still be in there or they’d replace it with Mario’s Cement Factory (which ate about three years of my life as a child) or something,” the representative said....
