Red Light of Death fix! Is there anything Brazillians can’t do?

This video depicts a poor, unfortunate man in Brazil whose Xbox 360 has decided to go the way of Sinatra. Not giving up hope, he found an ingenious way to fix the problem. I’m not going to spoil it with too much rhetoric, so just watch the video.

Capcom’s Jun Takeuchi toldMTV Multiplayerthat theResident Evil 5demo did rather well, moving over 4 million downloads on the PS3 and Xbox 360. That’s pretty good for just a few week’s time, and a pretty good sign that the game is going to sell really well. We’re with MTV in the worries that the single-player days of Resident Evil were over after seeing the cooperative element ofResident Evil 5. They went as far as to ask Takeuchi if we can have another single-player, single characterResident Evilin the future....

Review: Lost Winds: The Winter of the Melodias

When I heard the news that a secondLost Windsgame was coming out I knew I had to finally download the first game and become a big fan of it. So I did download it and I did become a big fan of it. It had its flaws though. Most of these had to do with the fact that you just wanted more thanks to the short length of the game. Luckily for me there was more in the form of the sequel,Lost Winds: The Winter of the Melodias....

Review: Singularity

It boggles the mind why Activision, a publisher obsessed with building huge franchises, has refused to help the brand awareness ofSingularity. Overshadowed by nearly every other release this year, Raven Software’s time-manipulating shooter was released without so much as a squeak, and very few people have talked about it since. This is criminal, asSingularityis probably the best new shooter I’ve played all year, and is easily one of Raven’s finest games....

Rumor: Digital rental of PSP games coming?

The PSpgo has beengetting some flackfrom us, though when it finally landed I think we gave it apretty fair shake. One of the great things about it is that the downloadable game service over PSN was pretty robustly supported at launch (as may possibly be discussed later today in a feature – come back to find out). However, with no UMD how the hell is anyone supposed to rent games anymore?...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for under a buck on Games for Windows

Recently, the Games for Windows Marketplace has been doing a genius promotion where it marks a well-known game down to $0.99 on a daily basis. This is just cheap enough where you’re left questioning your stance on Games for Windows, and whether or not it’s ultimately worth the trouble. As of right now, you can get GSC Game World’sS.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobylfor under a dollar. Normally, it’s $19.99 from GFW and Steam....

Shoot cat-calling gentlemen in the face with Hey Baby

I have never understood the point of cat-calling. Is the assumption that the random woman you are yelling “Hey baby, nice ass” at is going to then turn around and go home with you so that you can have sex? In what world does that work? And since it isn’t this one, why is cat-calling still pervasive? It happens to my fiancee all the time and drives her nuts. That’s why I’m going to introduce her toHey Babyso she can take her aggression out virtually....

Sims 3 heading to consoles this Fall

Say what you want, but I’ve always foundThe Simsstrangely appealing, despite never really bothering to play them. I like the idea of little people who will react to my capricious and Godlike actions. I’ve been perpetually tempted to pick upThe Sims 3, and now another round of temptation is ready to launch with the game’s console debut this Fall. The Sims 3has been officially confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, finally leaving the realm of PC exclusivity after ten billion years....
