It’s mighty unlikely, sure, but it’s early morning and I’m running on a long, long week practically devoid of sleep – I’m entitled to create entirely impossible scenarios, damn it....

The game features some suitably pretty cel-shading and it meant to be quite humurous....

This is different from the Facebook drama I usually see! Things are not going good between “Friends” Zynga and Facebook. It seems that Facebook was trying to tie down the FarmVille maker with a long-term deal that would keep their games in FB’s camp. This goes directly against Zynga CEO Mark Pincus reportedly telling his staff to prepare for a potential breakaway from Facebook. It seems that they wanted to launch their own social game network called Zynga Live....

Fatal Frame IV, the latest in the popular survival horror series, has been in a questionable place regarding a North American release, with Nintendo of America being typical NoA and seeming unlikely to publish. At least Nintendo of Europe is doingPAL gamers a service, as it will be bringing the snap-happy scarefest to Nintendo’s forgotten territory. There is no official date for the European release, but February 6 has been thrown around as a likely candidate....

Back when I was regularly playing‘Splosion Manon Xbox LIVE Arcade, I put a great deal of thought into trying to guess what the unlockable Avatar items would be. A scientist outfit? A mini ‘Splosion Man? Yes, I spent more time daydreaming about it than any sane person ever would. Joystiq hasa picture of the Avatar Awards and the details on how you can get them. So, if you aren’t digging the selection, I guess you’re partially to blame. As for the DeLorean, it’s not quite as cool as the one inBurnout Paradise —it could actually hover — but the thought is certainly there....

I’msofar from being convinced that this pic is legit. If you’re going to leak unreleased content for a game, why would you ever leak just one pic, and why would that pic be of just the upper part of the screen? Why not shoot video, like that vid ofJill inMarvel Vs. Capcom 3that we got a while back? Unless this pic was taken with a super secret spy cam deep within the bowels of Capcom’s R&D, there’s really explanation for why it’s so unrevealing....

I knew this was going to be my pick of the day before I even played it. Why? Just look at it. It’s calledSkycat and the Starchildren, for crying out loud, how could thatnotbe great? It’s a “runner” style game that isn’t quite as frantic as others in the genre, but makes up for the slower pace with a lovely soundtrack and some adorable visuals. It’s absolutely worth your time to download it, just to have the thing....

It looks like the San Francisco Game Developers Conference set an all-time record for attendance last week. According to UBM TechWeb Game Network, the group who organized the conference, 18,250 attendees flooded the Moscone Convention center to meet with and learn from game developers. This is up over a thousand from last year’s attendance, which hovered around 17,000. These numbers are interesting — being at the convention, it seemed the show had actually been scaled back this year....
