I love a good action game, and right nowWarhammer 40,000: Space Marineis my most-watched of the lot. It’s been a long time in the making, and quite a while since we heard anything of the game, but THQ has sent over a meager portion of new shots, so check ’em out. Destructoidgave the game its first looka few months back, and came away hopeful. It looks like it’s going to be a hot one, and Relic seems to be putting a lot of love into it....
Regular readers know and have heard me say often that my favorite DS game is the Japanese music/rhythm gameDaigasso! Band Bros. And it will continue to hold that title for another… few days, until my import copy ofDaigasso! Band Bros DXcomes in. Those that chose to go the less legal route (Nintendo probably does not look favorably on importing either) and download the newly released game might be running into a bit of block, and it seems this block was intentional....

No More Heroes 2: Hoppers Editionis out in Japan, and I really want it. I can’t afford it though, as initial shipments are sold out, and what’s left is goingfor over $130 buckson the internet. The price is insane, but I’m still tempted. This special edition of the game comes with a “sexy” comic book, a soundtrack, and perhaps most importantly, the prequel seen above. No More Heroes 1.5is an animated comic format that fills in the gaps betweenNo More Heroes 1and2....
Today, Valve’s marketing director, Doug Lombardi, told1UPthat therecent updatestoTeam Fortress 2will not hit the PlayStation 3 version of the game. The reason isn’t because Gabe Newell doesn’t like the PS3 (although theman certainly doesn’t); it’s because Valve doesn’t have any internal PS3 development going on. And the new gets worse. The only reasonThe Orange Boxhit the PS3 is because Electronic Arts farmed it out, and as far as Lombardi knows, all development on the popular set that containsTF2has ceased....

Sometimes things happen at cons.This is one of those things. For various reasons I couldn’t attend NYCC this year and it makes me very sad, especially since the gaming section has been growing every year previous that I have attended. As you can see from ourplethora of awesome coveragecoming from the con one of the best parts about it is that it’s a bit more relaxed. None of the comapanies are rolling out too many big announcements and everyone is just having fun....
A couple of days ago, I posted areview ofCastlevania: The Adventure ReBirth. I gave the game an 8.5, which means I liked it a lot. I did have a few problems with it, though: it doesn’t add anything new to the series, the music isn’t that great, and you can’t save your progress. Well, scratch that last one off the list. The game still lacks a traditional save feature, but it does have an incredibly-easy-to-unlock secret stage select option....

Happy Holidays are even happier with a new game system, right? Some of my best Christmases were the ones where I got a new game system. I remember one year that my dad did that dick thing where we thought we opened everything…and there was no Sega Genesis. I was sad. Then he said it wasparents present time, and when he opened his first present it was the Genesis. I fell for that one....

Square Enix has confirmed that cult survival horrorParasite Eveis making its way to the PlayStation Network some time in the future. Not only that, butParasite Eve 2is coming as well. This comes from the Japanese wing of Square Enix, so nothing has been confirmed for the west yet. However, Square Enix has been somewhat decent about sharing its games worldwide (exceptVagrant Story, the arseholes) so hopefully we’ll get a taste of it....
