You might remember that UK retailers were a little miffed that Steam is such an awesome digital distribution service that most PC game publishers are having it come with the games they sell, even the ones in a box. I’vebeen playinga lotof adventure games lately and it has made me yearn for some of the classics of my youth, particularly with the impending release ofThe Secret of Monkey Island SE. So it was that I resolved to playLOOMagain for the first time in probably seventeen years. I had no idea that LucasArts would be giving players who did not already have the experiencea new opportunitybut I’m ecstatic at the timing of their announcement coming so close to my own excitement at revisiting this game....

Yesterday, wereviewed the PC version ofCall of Duty: Black Ops, awarding it a 6/10 thanks to a completely broken online experience that proved detrimental to the most important half of anyCall of Dutyproduct. In fact, it was only the superbly high quality of the single-player that gave this game as high a score as it got. Naturally, some people were upset. Despite the fact that the game ought to be consistent on all platforms, some people were angry that we reviewed the game “wrong” by not playing it on the Xbox 360....

(Yes, even on the PlayStation 3, which Harmonix’s Aaron Tritescalls“A Meatloaf miracle,” and rightfully so.) So get cozy with your loved one and start working on the harmonies for the following tracks: Songs are $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points a piece. You can upgrade a scant one track — “Stop Dragging My Heart Around” — to Pro Guitar/Bass for an additional 99 cents....

While not quite as epic as the last trailer, we do at least get to see some of the gameplay in this new Sacred 2 video. The above movie focuses on the multiplayer aspects, something which I think is going to prove to be Sacred 2’s main source of fun. It looks like something that will definitley keep fans of Western RPGs happy until Diablo 3 comes out, and it looks pretty effing gorgeous if you ask me....

Wow, what a promotional event. To promote Wii gameSamurai Warriors 3, Koei is pulling out all the stops.We already knewthat Japanese superstar GACKT was involved. He ended up doing some voice acting for the title, but more importantly, he recorded both the theme song and the ending song forSamurai Warriors 3. Both songs were released as a single last month, and now the artist will be showing up at this festival to perform those songs live....

When one has a tattoo, one needs to pick something tasteful and understated, otherwise one looks like a total tit. Videogame-themed tattoos are difficult to pull off with this in mind. The above picture is a tattoo that did not pull it off. What you’re seeing is indeed aCastle Crasherstattoo, which Major Nelson claims a “co-worker” had done this weekend. As you may observe, it is the four main knights from The Behemoth’s popular Xbox Live Arcade title....
