Killzone 2is getting yet anothershot in the armtoday with the Flash & Thunder Map Pack. Available for download on PSN for $5.99, the pack contains two maps from the originalKillzone, freshly updated and given a Helghan lick of paint. I was kind of hoping the maps would still be set on Vekta, but they’ve been transported to the home planet of the Helghast with a darker, murkier look. “The original maps took place on Vekta, so we transported them to Helghan’s desolate battlegrounds,” says senior level designer Stuart Billinghurst....

Best Buy has outed the first planned downloadable investigation forL.A. Noire, theNicholson Electroplating Arson Case. It was revealed as part of the store’s midnight launch promotion, where the first 16 customers to buy the game will get a code. There’s no word on when the content will be available to the masses, but it certainly hints thatL.A. Noire‘s potential. Brand new cases can easily be thrown in whenever Rockstar pleases, and I think that’s a good thing....

Marvelous’ spooky Balance Board game,Night of the Sacrifice, just got some freaky new screens and details. I’m terrified already! In case you did not yet know,Night of the Sacrificeis set in Tsukuyomi Ravine, where people used to make sacrifices to the Gods. Of course, a group of five idiot college kids show up to party, and decide to set up shop in a spooky mansion. The kids hear a young girl calling for help, which kicks off a curse which ends in their deaths....

The ESRB has ratedMega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revengefor 3DS, essentially confirming its eventual release on theNintendo eShop. That totally makes up forMega Man Legends 3getting canceled, right guys? Seriously, it’s almost like a cruel joke, confirming my belief that everything to do with 3DS is part of some massive trolling endeavor. So far, Nintendo seems intent on keeping its high profile 3DS Virtual Console releases to a minimum, as if saving them all up for some mystical time when they’re really needed....

OnLive, the cloud-based gaming service, isnow available in the UK. While the games range from £1.99 to £34.99, your first purchase will only set you back £1. Not too shabby. The service streams games to your TV, PC, Mac or mobile devices. Right, I’m off to waste a pound.

I don’t want to go full-on hyperbolic and say thatSpyPartywas the most-talked-about game at PAX Prime, but it certainly ranks up there near the top. As far as I can tell, there were a few reasons for this. The game’s obscurity and “how does it work?” nature seemed to be two of the bigger factors.
