Blizzard sent along word that a limited-release collector’s edition forWorld of Warcraft: Cataclysmwill be coming our way. This is the third expansion for the MMO, and the limited edition will be available only in retail stores. Here’s what you’re able to expect inside this package: The whole shebang will be priced at $79.99 when it is released for Windows and Mac. Blizzard says that the release date and other details are coming soon....
3D Dot Game Heroesis out in May and it’s easily one of my most hotly anticipated games of the year. From Software’s shamelesslyZelda-flavored adventure game is among the PS3’s best looking games, thanks to its bold and colorful art style. It helps that the game also looks to be tremendous fun as well. I was privileged to watch a demo of the game and my thoughts echo Dale North’s inhis preview....

In Japan, Konami conducted a lifestyle survey of 500 men in their twenties, just releasing the results late last month. About 40 percent of these men said that they thought in-game love is something worth seeking out. About 20 percent of those polled actually want love with a videogame character....

505 Games has revealed itself as the publisher of NaturalMotion’s alternative-to-Maddenfootball title,Backbreaker, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The title was originally revealed as an Atari-published product a bazillion years ago, with an iPhone version of the game released this past September. The game is said to “redefine the football videogame genre” by employing NaturalMotion’s “euphoria motion synthesis engine” for the game’s movement and violent in-game tackles.Backbreakeralso features full, physics-based motion AI, for what should (presumably) translate to a more realistic-looking and -feeling football experience....

People were waiting with anticipation for Google’s Android to finally launch on the G1 phone. After all of the wait, they’re finally putting the phone to good use… with Namco’sPac-Man. According tothe FCC, Sony is planning on rolling out another PlayStation Portable model. If you were hoping for a sexy new redesign on par with the shift from the original PSP to the Slim, I’m sorry to disappoint, but this isn’t it. The PSP-3001 looks no different physically from the Slim, but it’s been assumed that there will be major changes made to the inner parts in an effort to lower production costs and stop piracy....
