In yet another unfortunate case of Microsoft’s political correctness backfiring, Xbox Livebecame the sceneof a fresh case ofbanned homosexual behavior. A female gamer who outed herself as a lesbian found her account barred from Live after Microsoft responded to bigoted and homophobic complaints. “I was harassed by several players, ‘chased’ to different maps/games to get away from their harassment,” explains the former Xbox Live customer, detailing the effects of her Gamertag profile stating her sexuality....

The e-mail is purposefully vague. “This is an exclusive pilot rewards program,” it reads. “That means that the people who get in get stuff. Cool stuff. You want cool stuff, right? Sure you do, we all want stuff. Especially cool stuff.” The e-mail cautions that recipients have until tomorrow — October 22nd — to opt-in, or “the doors close and someone else gets the cool stuff.” But how cool said cool stuff actually is, is anyone’s guess at this point....

Good news: Rockstar Games has announced today that a huge upgrade will be available forMidnight Club: Los Angeleson both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year. Great news: some of it’s free. The”South Central Upgrade Map” will add an entirely new area to the city, one which is about one-third the size of the original map. It will feature area landmarks like the USC Campus, Crenshaw Plaza, and more....

Black Panther is one of the five new characters — one is still unannounced — to be introduced toMarvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Not Fusionvia DLC on November 3rd. Capcom announced a new title at the World Hobby Fair in Japan yesterday. TitledRockman EXE: Operate Shooting Star, this game is aBattle Network/Star Forcecrossover, an action RPG set to release on the DS sometime in 2009 in Japan, though no specific month of release was given. The announcement was also light on details, but did come alongside the above picture. More details will be formally announced in the September issue of CoroCoro....
