Left 4 Deadis a hell of a game. Its cooperative, friendly play has kept countless gamers glued to their display devices since its release. We liked it so much that it became ourgame of the year. SidehowCollectorsforummember “Global 420” showed his love by kit bashing a scene from the game. The scene depicts the seconds before a zombie horde descends upon a stoic Bill and Louis. Bill is shown smoking and reloading his SMG....
Along with its Holiday line-up for Wii and Nintendo DS, Nintendo has announced that Link’s new DS adventure,The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Trackswill be released on December 7. Nintendo also dropped the game’s North American box art on our asses, which you may see in the gallery. It features Link, a train, and a big, menacing knight carrying a big, menacing sword. Releasing anything in December, after most of the holiday shopping has been done, seems a bit risky....
The color of most public urinals, nothing says “pop music” like ceramnic white. This irony isn’t lost on Sony, who have announced today that they will be bundling their karaoke title,SingStar Pop, with a limited edition Ceramic White PlayStation 2. The bundle retails for $149.99, and ships with the full retail versoin of SingStar Pop, along with the game’s two solid USB microphone peripherals. The Ceramic White doesn’t contain any new functions or design changes other than the fact that it’s white, but trust me when I say that people are going to eat this bundle up at retail this Holiday....

M.U.L.E.Now there’s a game I’ve heard a heck of a lot about, but was never really able or willing to fidget around with for long enough to “get it.” Now that I think about it, sitting down and learning to not suck at this resource management game would’ve helped to make Econ 212 less of a bummer. The event, held this past weekend in Alexandria, Virginia, is really one of thoseyou have to be there to get itevents. If we had to try to explain it, we’d liken it to a small, down home version of the Penny Arcade Expo. It’s a gaming event that’s more personal, friendly, and easy-going, though. Attendees will tell you that you’ll truly get the feeling that everyone there knows everyone else, and that you’ll feel comfortable hanging out with just about anyone there....

As far as Xbox Live Indie Games are concerned, outside of what little word-of-mouth promotion a title receives, the only other real way awareness is raised is through the top-rated games section on the Xbox dashboard. It’s, well, pretty crummy. Unfortunately, the current system for rating games between one and five stars allows anyone with a free Xbox.com account to rate as they wish; even if they don’t play the full game, the trial, or anything....
