Thankfully,a recent patchaddresses the issue, resulting in “improvements of over 50%” on certain machines. For me personally, loads now seem to be between two to three times faster. The patch also tinkers with the controls: diagonal movement isn’t faster — as originally intended — and tweaks to mouse sensitivity have been made....

DICE has addressed the lack of mod support inBattlefield 3, explaining why gamers won’t be able to tinker with the game’s innards when it launches on October 25. “It’s a huge investment for us to do something like that, and also a bit complicated, and to some degree there’s also [a concern] security-wise,” said GM Karl Magnus Troedsson. “It’s a bit scary to take an investment likeBattlefield 3and just let people dig into that engine and do whatever they want....

Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legendswill launch in North America on November 22 for $39.99. This is according toAmazon, that now has the game listed for PS3. Xtreme Legendsfeatures new characters, fresh weapons and de-cloning, as well as a bunch of new modes and levels. There is also a “Residence Castle”, which acts as a hub world. It will become more furnished as you progress through the game, gaining more characters, buildings, and stuff to buy....

Dynasty Warriors Onlineis coming to North America, and this makes me happy inside of my bum. Here’s a new trailer for the upcoming hack n’ slash multiplayer frenzy, showing off the weapons. The weapons seem to mostly have been lifted fromDynasty Warriors 4, which I believe most of the game has been built off of. Let it not be said that this series doesn’t make the most of its assets....

The game follows special agent Michael Thorton who is the only person that can prevent a catastrophic international crisis. Players will be able to choose how Michael completes his missions: by the book, going rogue and slaughtering everyone that gets in your way, or being a smart mouthed jackass to everyone you meet, which will determine how things ultimately turn out....

TheRUSEbattlefield is represented as a battle map within a Command Center. Zoom out to the maximum and you may see in the background the current war room you’re situated in with soldiers and personal working around the room. The focus is supposed to be on the map you’re playing on and this isn’t meant to distract or take the player’s focus away from the thing they’re supposed to be focused on....

Right now, EA just announced a huge new expansion pack for fans of the wildly successfulBattlefield: Bad Company 2. Not just an additional mode to be tossed on with a little extra that differentiates what we already play, this expansion is so massive in has it’s own subtitle: Vietnam. Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi brought some new features ofGran Turismo 5to E3 this year, with one of them being the game’s new photo features. One of the game’s photo features is called Race Mode. It lets you use a virtual camera to photograph cars that are racing on the tracks, letting you make your own action shots. After selecting your position you’ll see the camera’s finder mode, which lets you do everything a real camera could do....

Apparently, Nintendo has heard the hardcore’s cries, and for the Wii U, is replacing Friend Codes with system that supports one specific username for each person, instead of a sixteen-digit numeric sequence for each console and a separate twelve-digit number for each game....

Furyis an upcoming MMO game that strips away all the grinding and leveling of games likeEverquestorWorld of Warcraftand jumps right down to the nitty gritty of PvP while still retaining the things that make RPG’s so great. Join us for “Seven days of the Super Nintendo!” Given that the Super Famicom has literally twice as many games in its library as the Super Nintendo, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that many classics never reached the States. Although some of the best have been reborn through late-ports (Megaman & Bass,Final Fantasy V), many titles remain in obscurity....
