Sonic Generations screens take a trip to Seaside Hill

Sonic Heroesis a game that I shuriken’d against a wall the very first day I bought it. I threw it so hard that it broke into two pieces and I am yet to feel a shred of regret. I mean, it only cost six quid, but even so, my complete dispassion is something I stick by. That said, it’s only fair that the game gets represented inSonic Generations, and at least Sonic Team’s using the least grievous level, Seaside Hill....

Sony man thinks PSN hack was ‘a really good time’

Most Sony and non-Sony executives have painted thePSN hack situationas a deeply unpleasant experience, one that shouldn’t be wished on anybody. Sony’s network entertainment president Tim Schaaff, however, thinks it was a wonderful lark. “Great experience, really good time,” he declared, with no indication given that he was being sarcastic. “Though I wouldn’t like to do it again.” Schaaf is glad that it happened, since he believes that getting hacked and growing from the experience is more worthwhile than preventing the hack in the first place....

It was a big fad in the nineties, but the rise of high definition has seen a return to that most gimmicky of gimmicks, 3D. With a number of movies getting in on the fun, Sony haspledged to supportthree-dimensional gaming experiences, claiming a future PS3 Firmware update will allow for it, possibly by next year. Sony wants God of War: Chains of Olmpus developer to make another PSP title

Perhaps Ready at Dawn (God of War: Chains of Olympus,Daxter) wasn’t jokingwhen they wrote, “Maybe we should reconsider this whole ‘no more [PlayStation Portable] games’ thing, because we seem to be pretty good at it” on their official blog back in December. It’s now apparent that Sony has been courting the developer in an attempt to get another title out of the lauded developer. “Ready at Dawn is a fantastic developer, they didGod of War: Chains of OlympusandDaxter,” Sony’s director of hardware marketing, John Koller told Kotaku....

Soul Calibur Legends footage: can we dress Taki as a cod?

That clip up there is some newly released footage for Namco-Bandai’sSoul Calibur Legends, the adventure game offshoot of their very successful weapons-based fighting series. I don’t think anyone should ever judge a game before they’ve actually played it, but I’m also a terrible liar, so I have to say I was quite underwhelmed by that clip.It seem that the devs behindSC Legendstried their hardest to apeGod of War, but were hamstrung by the higher-ups who forced them to put emphasis on theSoul Caliburcharacters....

Square Enix: We take too long to make games

It seems like we’ve been waiting for ten thousand years for Square Enix to finally releaseFinal Fantasy XIII, and Square Enix itself won’t deny that some of its games take forever to come out. In fact, company boss man Yoichi Wada hasadmitted as much, confessing that the publisher does indeed take too long with its titles. Subway, Sony partner to bring you tasty meals, prizes

Fun fact: Destructoid’s Dale North hates Subway about as much as he loves his PlayStation 3. So this new marketing alliance between Sony and the sandwich franchise is going to tear him apart. Sony has announced that it’s partnered with Subway in a collaboration called “Fiery Football Frenzy Fueled by PlayStation.” What this is means is that Subway will be carrying some kind of Sony PlayStation-branded sandwiches called the “Fiery Footlongs,” which are apparently the spiciest subs the franchise has carried to date....
