Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and DINO CRISIS for PS3

Capcom is continuing its commitment to re-releasing everything in the world, with fresh ratingscropping up forResident Evil 2,Resident Evil 3: NemesisandDino Crisis. The beans have been spilled, as usual, by the ESRB, which has listed the three games for a PS3 release. Expect to see these three games hit the PSOne Classics section soon. Sounds great, but I’m hoping they’re priced reasonably. Capcom really had no business charging $9.99 for the originalResident Evil, and while I haven’t played any of these other games in years, I’m not sure ten bucks will convince me....

Resident Evil 5 producer is ‘worried’ about the West

It seems that many Japanese developers have lamented their country’s position in the industry for the past several months, andResident Evil 5producer Jun Takeuchi isno different. The Capcom man has recently shared fears of the West’s impact in Japan, admitting that he now “worried.” “I’m worried about the movements of Western developers,” confesses Takeuchi. “Japan is now their target – it’s the last big marketplace. The truth is that Western studios are making great games, and they’re going to continue to do so next year too....

Review: Monday Night Combat

Two teams of cartoon-like class-based combatants compete in multiplayer arenas with a range of quirky skills and ludicrous weapons. Sound familiar? Of course it does! Monday Night Combatlooks and sounds as derivative as they come, with an art style and general premise that appears shamelessly ripped from Valve’sTeam Fortress 2. However, under its aesthetic surface,Monday Night Combatboasts a deceptively inventive core, with a unique blending of genres that works surprisingly well....

Review: Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing

Ever since taking a temp job in Gamestation over the Christmas period, I have developed an interest in games that are rated E for Everyone. Well, actually, it’s an interest ingoodgames that are rated E for Everyone. Over these last few months, as adult or gamers in our late teens, we have had some brilliant games come our way, such asMass Effect 2andDante’s Inferno. Yet here is Sega and their latest game:Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, to challenge the hoe-slapping, drug-taking and alien love-making we have grown used to, with a game that is (legally) accessible by everyone and might actually be good....

Rumor: Dead or Alive 5 coming to the PS3

The latest issue ofOfficial PlayStation Magazinehints that the nextDead or Alivegame won’t be exclusive to the Xbox 360 anymore. The rumor section of the mag states that “Tecmo’s next big-bosomed fighter,Dead Or Alive 5, is in production for PS3.” If this is true, then it’s about time the series went multiplatform. It’s not surprising either that Tecmo would do this, seeing as how theNinja Gaidengames were exclusively first for the Xbox 360 and later released for the PlayStation 3....

Apparently the white DS Lite has already been discontinued, and a search around the internet definites confirms that, although the Onyx can still be spotted onAmazonfor $129.99. While there’s no official confirmation on this, it looks like it could very possibly be a reality. I wonder if the Onyxcould be being discontinued to make way for the Black DSi? [ViaKotaku]

Rumortoid: Wet coming in October?

I’m going to regret running a headline with “wet coming” in it, but nevertheless here’s a spurious rumor on a game you’ve probably forgotten about. The last time we sawWet, there were a mere handful of screenshots, but we’re hearing that the title could arrive by October. Wetis one of the victims of the Activision Blizzard massacre, where the evil publisher axed a number of titles including50 Cent,GhostbustersandBrutal Legend. While all three of those games found publishers,Wetseemed to exist in limbo for a long time....

Sega Saturn flight stick transformed into a robo bug

See that robo-looking bug thing above? That used to be a Sega Saturn flight joystick, the Mission Stick. Remember those? I know! Holy sh*t, right? This is the work of artist James Killinger, a designer/artist and a student at New York’s Pratt Institute. This bug was part of an assignment, which was to take something apart and create something new with the pieces. He took the used controller and made a robo bug?...

Skaters allowed in Skate 3’s university setting

Grinding on books is hard work. In fact, some skaters would argue that it’s “totally impossible, bro” — something about the “ledges” being too thin. But you can rock out on a library’s front yard. Or in the case ofSkate 3, grind to your heart’s content at a university dedicated to skating. In the most recent “Making of” video for the game the developers educate us on the university setting, which is an open collection of rails, ledges, stairs, banks and an academic skate park....
