Capcom has announced a brand newResident Evilgame today, and unless you’re in Japan, you’ll probably never get a chance to play it. It’s calledResident Evil: Outbreak Survive, and it’s for the Japanese social mobile phone network,Gree. Capcom Japan says the game will take players to Raccoon City where they must work together with friends, share healing items, and assemble teams. They’re calling it a “social survival horror game.” Resident Evil: Outbreak Survivewill be available this June in Japan; everyone else hasResident Evil: Operation Raccoon Cityto look forward to....

If you’re tempted by the boob-bouncing SIXAXIS pleasures ofNinja Gaiden Sigma 2but want to take the game out for abreast drivefirst, Tecmo has announcedvia its Twitterthat a demo for the game is coming very soon. September 24, in fact. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2will be the first game officially released under the joint umbrella of Tecmo and Koei. It’s the revamped PS3 version of 2008’sNinja Gaiden II, which was an Xbox 360 exclusive....

Demo the Nintendo 3DS in…JFK airport? Well, I guess it’s as good a place as any. JetBlue and Nintendo have teamed up to create an interactive Nintendo 3DS grandstand at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. You can visit this demo area in Terminal 5 at JFK between April 22 and May 30 to try out the system and games, take 3D photos and even nab a daily prize giveaway....

In a recent survey by the NPD Group, it was found that the average videogame player has 48 titles and 11% of those gamers have unopened titles. The survey was given to 562 videogame players, all of whom were made to lie on the floor and swear that they wouldn’t fib about their videogame collection. If they were to mess with the numbers with dishonest replies, they would be carted off to a retinal research facility....

The kids over atTeam Xboxmanaged to land some official images of the box and guitar bundle for the Xbox 360 version ofGuitar Hero II. What’s notable about the image (besides it making me have to change my pants) is the confirmation of not only downloadable content (which was a no-brainer), but the promise of additional songs. Red Octane hasn’t revealed any details about the songs, but it’s entirely possible that both the downloadable content and additional tracks will be songs taken from the originalGuitar Hero....

Origin recently opened up pre-orders forStar Wars: The Old Republicon its proprietary digital service Origin. Well … that’s what you mightthinkat first glance. What’sactuallyhappening is that it’s opened up pre-orders forpre-orders, and can’t guarantee you’ll get what you want to reserve. The main bone of contention seems to be with the Collector’s Edition, which is being used as a pre-order incentive on Origin. Unfortunately, those whodopre-order through Origin may not receive the thing, and are instead being put in a queue for achanceto get it....

Outlandwas first presented to me as a kind of consolation prize. I had an appointment to seeChild of Eden, the one and only Kinect title I could give a rat’s ass about. Right before my date with the game, I got a sheepishly performed “Oh,Child of Eden? Yeah, we’re not showing that anymore, but you could check outOutland? Blasting? Rumbling? Pokémon!? What platform can handle this much action!? The Nintendo 3DS, of course — Nintendo has announced thatPokémon Rumble Blastis headed to the handheld on October 24. Created exclusively for the 3DS, the game lets players battle more than 600 wind-up Toy Pokémon. Players will collect the Toys, each of which have their own stats and abilities, and then throw them into a ring to kill or be killed....

Oh, Internet, you and your silly petitions that nobody will ever bother actually reading. Hot off the back of Blizzard revealing thatStarCraft IIwould not support LAN, a bunch of hardcoreStarCraftfans have banded togetherto petitionthe studio and demand that the feature be reinstalled. The petition is at least respectful, imploring Blizzard to bring LAN back, and pointing out that Internet connections aren’t always available and that it was LAN that cementedStarCraft‘s popularity in the first place....

Anarchy Reignsis an over-the-top, fast paced brawler set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic world. Although the game stars many characters fromMadWorld,it is not a direct sequel and the storyline is completely separate. So this game totally slipped past my radar when it was announced last year. At least, I was told that it was announced last year when I was asking about it. It’s not terribly surprising that I didn’t notice it, though. People aren’t really on the up and up when it comes to Wii adventure-like platform games that don’t start with the word “Super” and “Mario.” That may be too bad, sinceMunchableswas actually kind of fun....

Monolith Productions art lead Dave Matthews has revealed toIGNthatProject Originwill be delayed until early next year. The reason for the delay is a little up in the air, but it may have something to do with the fact that Monolith wants to release the game on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 simultaneously. Originally the game was slated to hit this fall. IGNgot their hands on the title recently and their impressions are quite good....
