Recently, we had the opportunity to talk to Adam Mersky, Director of Communcations at Turbine, about an unannounced MMO title for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 currently in development at Turbine. Details are extremely limited at this time, but Mersky was encouraging when talking about the development of the ongoing project. We’re looking at creating, hopefully, the first MMO that really works. Right now we’re looking at if for the 360 and the PS3…We’re not going to rush to be first so-to-speak, but clearly we’re leading the way....

Yesterday, we wrote an article confirming without a doubt thatKillzone 2is better thanHalo 3. It seems our words touched the hearts of the great British public, as the PS3 exclusive has managed to knockHalo Warsinto second place. For once, the UK charts actually look interesting, which makes a change from the usualFIFA/World at War/Wii Fitgangbang that we have to endure each week.Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collectionis stll there, whileProfessor Laytonhas crawled up the chart to number 5....

That’s right. For the fifth week in a row,Wii Fitis inexplicablystillthe number one selling “game” in the UK. The sad irony is thatWolverineis one of the few movie-based videogames that doesn’t suck, and it has become one of the few movie-based videogamesnotto top the chart. There’s something about which makes me feel sick to my frigging kidneys. I think this has officially sealed my opinion that the general public is absolutely, unfathomably stupid and that if a nuclear warhead detonated and wiped out the majority of the human race, it would be no greater tragedy than if a fly drowned in some soapy water....

You can’t make an announcement without a ton of promotional videos, and Sony Ericsson’s covered its butt with the Xperia Play today. There’s a lot of marketing speak and hype here, but also some great information, along with some footage of the device in action. You might even learn a few things. For example, did you know those little empty circle pads where analog sticks should be are actually touch sensitive, and can be used for analog stick-style control?...

Flickr, the most easy-to-use and voyeuristic photo-sharing community since sliced bread, is the proud new owner of shabby viral marketing.Enter Dirty1CMD, ostensibly a fan of the Colin McRae series who is salivating at the thought of its next installment....

Sony’s looking for a few good men and women to playtest Kratos’ upcoming PlayStation Portable adventure,God of War: Ghost of Sparta. You up for it? The catch here is that you’ll need be older than 18-years-old, willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement, live in Los Angeles, and you’ve played aGod of Wargame before. Sound good? They’re doing the tests on Thursday, May 27 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and then 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM....

Here isa bit of a no-brainer from game designing god Will Wright during an interview with theChronicle of Higher Education: “We’ve had this cultural bias against games for the last 20 years, and a lot of it I think is self-deserved, because if you look at what people are doing with technology it is for the most part directed toward 12-year-old boys. Good God, we’ve already done so many previews ofKirby’s Epic Yarn.
