Wear Manchester City’s new uniforms in FIFA 12

I’ll admit, sports are something that I don’t know anything about. So I asked my girlfriend about this trailer forFIFA 12. It felt rather emasculating, but this is how dedicated I am to achieving proper journalism levels. She told me that when it comes to soccer (or football, for you non-Americans), Manchester City is not the same thing as Manchester United. I also learned that if you walk around in Europe with a British accent saying “Yeah, Manchester United,” you can get into events for free....

World of Warcraft gets some new ads … on its Web site

Advertisers still want their piece ofWoWpie and I found it interesting that Gillette is the company to do so. We recently came across a rather dull press release that spilled some marketing beans. Gilette is attempting to reach the 11-million (predominately male)World of Warcraftplayers by placing a banner ad in the right-hand portion of Blizzard’sofficial site. Sure, Gillette was successful in reaching a demographic but I have a feeling that their ad isn’t going to resonate withWoWplayers....

YTMND Thursday: The rumble pack will rumble your pack, edition

The weekly YTMNDs are back in action. Sorry for the absence last week, E3 sucked my soul into oblivion. Speaking of E3, I became most over joyed when I heard thatG4 talked about my YTMND featureon T.V! That nearly made my week. I’m easily amused, like a cat batting a ball of yarn. To make up for last week, YTMND Thursday is slightly bigger than usual. This was actually a harder week to find stuff because the Internets is going crazy with the Harry Potter spoilers....

‘I Hate Mountains’ demands your attention, L4D1 players

Back in the early days ofLeft 4 Dead, there was this sudden influx of announcements for ambitious custom campaigns. How many of these creations panned out? Either I’m looking in all the wrong places, or many of them are either abandoned or stuck in development hell; such is the way of modding. “I Hate Mountains,” though — it’s the real deal, and it only just came out yesterday. I’ll let the trailer above do most of the heavy lifting here, but yeah, this is a five-part campaign complete with alternate routes and the sort of attention to detail you would expect from a group of highly passionate fans....

By pre-ordering the game from theEA Store, gamers can save $5 off of the regular retail price, or $10 when purchasing bothWarheadand the originalCrysis. If you don’t care about $5 or $10, send it to me so I can buy candy. I like candy. Crysis Warheada follows a parallel story to the original title, and puts gamers in the st-kicking boots of Sergeant Michael “Psycho” Sykes, a st kicking super-soldier that doesn’t take s**t, but instead just kicks it....

I was a very busy shark during the month of August. To the point that I didn’t have as much time to devote to the Monthly Musings topic last month as I usually do.
