Project Natal to be priced ‘like anything else’

Gizmodoposted this tidbit aboutProject Natalwhich is so vague that it could mean anything from what we think it means to a prediction that the birds outside my window could at any time transform into Gremlins, but hey, we run with rumors so you can speculate on them. So, speculate on this: Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices division president Robbie Bach said that Natal will be priced “like anything else”. Like, a console?...

Reminder: Re-elect Mike Haggar for Mayor of Metro City

You know that Mike Haggar is the right choice for Mayor of Metro City. Do you know where he stands on crime? Right on its skull. He took his war on crime to the streets, administering justice to the city’s gangs. This is not the sort of man you want to say, “No” to. But you might as well find out his position on other important issues. Like, for example, the inordinate amount of trash littering Metro City’s streets....

Review: Pokemon HeartGold / SoulSilver

The second generation ofPokémon, encompassing theGoldandSilvergames, is considered by most fans to be the pinnacle of the franchise. There’s no way Nintendo wouldn’t want to cash in on that. So behold,PokémonHeartGoldandPokémonSoulSilver, the final evolutionary stage of these classic games. New graphics, Wi-Fi connectivity, and the all-new Pokewalker converge to make this the ultimatePokémonexperience....

Shut up, it can be done! I was kindly invited to Birmingham’s Omega Sector this past Friday to indulge in an afternoon ofGRiD, the latest racing game from Codemasters. The only catch is, it was review code and we were under embargo until Monday morning. These were the problems I was faced with — Determined not to waste your or Codemasters’ time, I chose to soldier on with a review based upon the brief amount of play I was able to have with it....

As videogame quasi-journalists (or whatever category it is you’d like to put us in), we often get quite a bit of a random videogame schwag. 90% of this garba– uh, awesome pieces of schwag, are articles of clothing. Most featured logos and art from videogames likeDonkey Kong,Devil May Cry,Grand Theft Auto,Prince of Persia,Ninja Gaiden,Killzone, God of War, Gears of War … you get the idea....

Small paws? Try Power A’s Mini Pro controllers

I don’t have as much to say about Power A’s Mini Pro line as I did about their hand cooling Air Flo line, but I did want to let you know that they’re ideal for small-handed people. The stand PS3 controller is fine for me, but I find that the Xbox 360 controller is too large for me to be fully comfortable with. This little Mini Pro one? Just right. I played several games:Catherine, Forza 4, Batman: Arkham Cityand more, and all were free of issue....

Somehow, these four will save the world in Lucha Fury

It’s a motley crew, to be certain. But if anybody can save the world from chicken-oriented doom, I don’t see any reason why it can’t be four energy drink guzzling luchadores. Here you’ll meet the heroes of the Xbox Live Arcade brawler,Lucha Fury, and see some of their moves. Somebody gets urinated on in this video. Honest. I’m seeing some combo stuff at work in these snippets of gameplay and that interests me....

Sonic’s quality will be ‘fixed with time’

Do you thinkSonic the Hedgehogsucks these days? If you’re over the age of twelve or notretarded, you probably think so. Sega is aware of our disappointment, and has promisedthat the blue shambles will get better with time, rather than simply admit that his credibility is finished in this industry. “The quality is something that will be fixed over time,” claims marketing VP Sean Ratcliffe. “It’s not something where you wake up one morning and say, ‘You know what, we’re going to improve our quality on this franchise,’ and it magically happens....
