Another day, another clue that this obsessive push towards 3D gaming might not be such a wonderful plan. According to The Eyecare Trust, 12% of British citizens can’t see 3D images due to poor binocular vision, rendering 3D televisions, movies and games completely useless to them. Nice one! “More than one in ten of us (12%) has a visual impairment that means our brains are unable to correctly process the individual images that are transmitted to it via our left and right eyes,” reveals the organization....

Sony’s director of the Home program, Peter Edward, told an audience at the Edinburg Interactive Festival about how abusers of the upcoming PS3 Home service can have their machines banned and disabled. GamesIndustryreports that the worst abusers of Home would “have to move house and buy a new PS3 before they could get online again.” “Ultimately we know a users details, we know machine details and we know where they live,” said Edward....

Harmonix is aiming for harmony in the music game world, but some sour notes are coming from Activision as of late. Analyst Michael Pachter, for instance, has argued thatGoldenEyewould have been better served on the Xbox 360. Rebellion’sAliens vs. Predatorhas been downloaded four million times, making it the most successful demo in Sega’s library. Along with the honor of being Sega’s fastest-selling game,AvPhas been an unbelievable success, especially since many people figured it wouldn’t sell well at all. Looks like sci-fi monsters from the eighties are still culturally relevant. It’s just a shame thatAvPwasn’t all it could have been. Still, the huge success ofAvPshould bode well for Gearbox’sAliens: Colonial Marines, which I am sure will be a far superior offering....

Both games are available for $2.99 each, which leads me to question, yet again, why SEGA is refusing to sell these things for the $0.99 price point they deserve. When you can get games likeAngry Birdsfor a buck, I don’t know why we’d want a port ofAltered Beastfor three....

Oh yes, it is time again for BritToid, the now European-focused gaming podcast for Destructoid.
