This is what I get for calling dibs on something before watching it. I figured this ad would be some kind of funny little spot starring some hockey players for the Wii-exclusiveNHL 2K11. I was wrong. It does star hockey players, but it is not funny. No sir, not funny at all. The ad does bring to attention the tour dates forNHL 2K11‘s “The REAL Hockey Experience on Wii” tour, but everything else in it falls flat (other than the music)....

Getting a feel for the retail version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2before it releases is going to be a tall order, even for industrious folk. SeeD, the art director for thePangyaseries of golf games, has passed away from an unnamed illness. The news first dropped on theTwitter feedof SeeD’s friend, musical composer esti, who says that he’ll write a memorial song for late friend. The Korean artist helped kick off thePangyaseries with his designs, starting with the online games and most recently working on the PSP release,Fantasy Golf Pangya. SeeD’s designs were definitely the charm of thePangyagames, and one of the main appeals as far as I’m concerned....

Guerrilla Games has revealed that it had, at one point, planned to re-releaseKillzone 2as an on-rails shooter to exploit the potential of PlayStation Move. “When we got the initial [Move] prototypes, we had no set plan on how to add motion control toKillzone,” said programmer Tommy de Roos. “Being a first-party Sony studio, we had little experience in that area except for some small experiments with the SixAxis controller. One of the first ideas was to create an on-rails version ofKillzone 2....
