Yes, the time is now my little ones, forBioshockhas finally been given a date … well kind of. 2K games hasconfirmed to 1UPthat their highly-anticipated shooter will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PC in June 2007. No word on aPlayStation 3 version, if there really will be such a thing. Here’s the short, but sweet announcement: 2K Games confirmed to 1UP that the long-awaited, much-anticipated Irrational Games first person shooter BioShock will release for the Xbox 360 and PC in June of this year....

Great news for Mac owners, as Gearbox Software and Feral Interactive will be bringingBorderlands: Game of the Yearto Apple’s OS this December. This is the full-on, complete version of the title, and includes all of the expansion packs — “The Zombie Island of Dr. Nex,” “Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot,” “The Secret Armory of General Knoxx,” and “Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution.” The retail box will also come with a neat-o fold-out map of the game’s world, Pandora....

Activision announced that it’ll be shippingiCarly 2: iJoin The Click!to stores this fall. It’ll be available for the Wii and the Nintendo DS, of which you’ll want to buy the game for both platforms. There’s nothing else to say here about this, really. I’m just really, really excited about it.

We just told you aboutthe possibility of SCi Entertainment/Eidos being taken over, and now it looks like Ubisoft was the one making a bid approach. The Guardianjust ran an article that says that the bidding is “believed to be from its French rival Ubisoft.” They also mention a few other notable companies that seem to be poking their noses into the situation, namely Time Warner, Electronic Arts, and even Sony — yes, the same company that SCi blamed for recent losses....

Fresh from gamescom are theseRidge Racer Unboundedscreenshots. This is actually the first real batch of screens that Namco Bandai has released for the game. As you might have seen in arecent trailer, the Ridge Racer formula has been changed up a bit. Crashing and destruction is now part of the game, and there will be a online multiplayer city/stage creation aspect to go along with that. The screens mix old and new....

If you’re enjoyingCrimson Alliancebut are getting close to the end, or have already beat it and want more, there is good news. Certain Affinity is releasing an add-on for the game, titled “Vengeance” that will add a new campaign level and challenge map. The challenge map, Fist Full of Coins, will send waves of increasingly difficult enemies after you and reward your wins with loot. DLC can be a touchy subject, and there might be some people out there who are not happy about this coming so soon after the game’s release, but I take “Vengeance” as a positive sign....

There’s a pretty big difference between the Astro Boy ofOsamu Tezuka‘s 1952 manga and the slick new Astro Boy from the upcomingImagi Studios CG film, but whatever incarnation you’re into, you have to agree that Astro Boy kind of rocks. D3 Publisher apparently agrees, as they’ve announced a game based on the upcoming film for the Wii, Nintendo DS, PS2 and PSP. You play the game as Astro Boy (obviously) and get to use all of his classic weapons to fight your way through Metro City taking out robot hordes both familiar and new....

In news that has shaken the very world to its core, the horror comedy spectacular that isDeadly Premonitionrecently became a chart topping game, leading Xbox 360 sales on Amazon. Deadly Premonition’s amazing performance was helped by an Amazon deal of the day that made the already budget title even cheaper. Of course, while Destructoid doesn’t like to take credit for the success of a videogame, we can’t help but think that ourglowing reviewandextensive coveragehad a little something to do with it....

I had originally intended to finish posting Destructoid LIVE last Thursday, but AT&T decided I didn’t need Internet. Now I’m back, and I come bearing gifts — the whole damn show.
