Simple, yet genius: Stealing in Fallout: New Vegas

Bucket usage inFallout: New Vegasis about to increase by, oh, let’s just go with one-hundred percent. As shown in this nifty video (viaReddit), essentially anything you may fit inside of a pot can be stolen, even if people are nearby. You simply fill the pot up with valuables, drag it away to a safe location, and grab the loot. The best part is, this isn’t a glitch. Using a Stealth Boy may be easier, but this is certainly more entertaining....

Sony calls BS on Microsoft’s sales numbers

Up until now, Sony has always had the “yeah, whatever” attitude when it came to sales figures, as their competition has been out-pacing them for about a year. Recently, holiday sales, advertising campaigns, and sales cuts have brought some solid sales numbers to Sony’s camp, and they finally havesome sales figures to be proud of. Maybe this is why Sony has taken issue with Microsoft’s claims that the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 2-to-1 duing the week beginning November 18th....

Sony encourages you (yes, you) to steal its ‘LittleBig billboards’

Sony is a company that’s become famous (infamous?) for its bizarre advertising campaigns (see: “This Is Living” and a poster that Sony rejected, dubbed “Thumbcock” by Colette), and while this latest idea doesn’t quite fall into the “weird” category, it’ll probably still raise a few eyebrows. Obviously, Sony is counting on its charming puzzle platformer, LittleBigPlanet, to move more than a few PS3s this fall (and the game’s developer, Media Molecule, believes that it will)....

Sony Gamers Day 2007: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Billed as the next big thing by developer Naughty Dog, there really hasn’t been much said or known about the actual gameplay of the PlayStation 3-exclusiveUncharted: Drakes Fortune. At last, I was able to get my hands on the game rather than just see the pretty little pictures in various gaming mags. And what did I come away with? Well, I like to think of it as the gameKing Kongcould have been — not sure why, but this thought kept invading my mind as I played throughout the demo....

Sony thinks you’ll go for the PSPgo’s price

I’m sold, but I don’t know that everyone else is willing to pay the asking price for the UMD-less PSPgo system, set to launch in October. Sony’s European president Andrew House seems to feel pretty good about the European price of 249 EUR (about the same as North America’s $250) and thehigh UK priceof £224.99. He isn’t worried about the high price because it comes withGran Turismo PSP,at least in Europe....

Space Paranoids Online trailer may induce giddiness

I’m worried aboutTron: Legacy. I want to believe in it because the alternative would only prematurely ruin theTronfranchise for me and I’d like to stave that off if at all possible. You know what I’m not worried about? The marketing forTron: Legacy. It’s been really appealing so far and definitely aimed at the right audience. By which I mean myself. I’ve never been more jealous of San Diego Comic-Con attendees than I was upon hearing that there was a Flynn’s Arcade event at last year’s show, featuring a playable version of the previously fictionalSpace Paranoidsgame by the still fictional Kevin Flynn....

Square Enix: Sony, straighten up. You’re confusing us [Update]

Square Enix and Sony have been best buddies since the very beginning, but Square Enix president Yoichi Wada now says that their old friend needs to straighten up, and that they might be hindering their own success. Wada is referring to the lack of consistency in Sony’s marketing of the PS3. His feeling is that the marketing of the system as a home entertainment hub, and then the shift to pushing it as a games console confused potential buyers....

Square has ‘no plans’ for Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox 360

Square-Enix shocked the world last year at E3 when they announced thatFinal Fantasy XIIIwould see a release on the Xbox 360. If you were expecting a similar announcement for the upcoming MMO in the venerable RPG franchise, it never came and you are no doubt curled in the fetal position crying over the lack of information. RPG Site spoke with the game’s producer, Hiromichi Tanaka, about the likelihood of seeing the title on Microsoft’s console....

Storm’s Adventures: Storm is turning Japanese…Again

Here’s a video that was four months in the making. Well, actually, it was less that one month, but the loss of my job which caused the wait was about three and a half years in the making. This has bollocks to do with the video, so I digress. Following the original “Storm is Turning Japanese,” one of the gentlemen I consulted with about whetherBayonettais truly better thanDevil May Cry 4(it is) became keen to my Japanese gaming trend, and practically shovedOdin Spherethrough my body....

Sun says 3DS making hundreds dizzy, Nintendo disagrees

UK tabloidThe Sunhas claimed that “hundreds” of gamers are “slamming” Nintendo for causing a wave of dizziness with their new3DS system. Nintendo UK says it hasn’t received a single complaint. That’s weird, becauseThe Sunhasnevergrossly embellished a story before. Oh wait, yes it has. “Hundreds of furious gamers have slammed Nintendo’s new 3DS console — for making them feel ill,”claims the publication. “Fans besieged gadget websites and Twitter to complain of dizziness, headaches and sickness after playing the hand-held device for just a few minutes....

Super Street Fighter IV’s Cody fights Chun-Li in new pics

Super Street Fighter IV’sCody has some problems. First, dude is in chains — meaning he must have done somethingwretchedwithin the SF universe in order to earn those massive shackles on his wrists. Bad boys Sagat and M. Bison don’t even rock them despite viciousness. But Cody also fights like some sort of ape-manthing, which is just … weird. Is it just us? In some images released yesterday via theCapcom-Unityblog, we see Cody scratching his head like a cartoon gorilla and crouched like a primate before feeding time at the zoo....

TGS: First look at Dead Space: Extraction on PlayStation
