Square Enix has just relvealed a new iPhone/iPad title calledImaginary Range. It will be released on May 5th and will be free. We’ve seen hide nor hair of anything developed by Itagaki since he left Team Ninja in 2008, and according to the Prince of Videogame Darkness, we won’t be seeing anything in the near future either. Not until 2013 at the latest, which is whenDevil’s Thirdis aiming to release. The original plan was to have THQ publish the game by April of 2012, but the title is currently less than 30% complete, so that’s simply not happening....

Normally I wouldn’t throw a commonly misappropriated term like ‘kawaii’ into the title, but after looking at the above piece of pre-order swag for the upcomingNiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, can you think of another term that quite captures its appeal? So, I was just about to hop ontoL4Dfor a friendly match with a few Dtoiders when Steam went down for maintenance. Again. Pissed that my attempts at playing were once again thwarted (last night saw an epic 45-minute-long series of matchmaking disasters involving third-party servers), I suddenly saw an email in my inbox letting me know that it was down because they were rolling out theL4Dpatch. Every time Destructoid gets together it is awesome. I haven’t had a bad time when I’ve gotten to hang out with this awesome and totally amazing community.
