Mad Catz sent out a press release today just to tell us that they made a f*ckton of money this year. I’m happy for them. Sony is terrible at keeping secrets.Killzone 3,Resistance 3, the PS3 Slim, the PSPgo, Sony has no end of cats to let out of its bag, and rare is the time we are ever surprised. The PSP2 looks set to continue this trend, with rumors and gossip surrounding what now looks like an inevitable announcement. Still, even though we know it’s coming, the announcement of a new handheld is always fun, and the pre-release speculation never ceases to amuse....

Further pushing into the casual and family game markets, THQ has announced that they will be developing games based on mind-body medicine advocate Dr. Deepak Chopra. The games publisher entered into an agreement with Curious Pictures today to produce games for seemingly all platforms. Lord only knows what this could mean. Chopra’s an interesting dude, but I’m not sure I want the Wii dispensing medical advice. Nor do I particularly want to have my PS3 teaching me spirituality....

Heavy Rainhas become the first PS3 exclusive to reach number one in the UK charts sinceKillzone 2over a year ago. David Cage’s “interactive movie” experience has debuted in the top slot, proving to be a considerable success despite the game’s high risk factor. While my thoughts onHeavy Rain‘s story are well known, I still think it’s pretty good as a game, and it’s cool to see a new IP that isn’t an FPS do so well....
