Without warning, the Saber Interactive developedTimeShifthas appeared on Xbox Live. Weighing in at 582 MB, the demo will give players a chance to go hands on with the experimental Beta Suit, which will allow them to stop, slow, and reverse time. I went hands on with the PlayStation 3 version of the title at this year’s E3, and my interest was slightly piqued with the how the game weaved the suit’s various abilities into the gameplay....

Anational paper is offering“hundreds of pounds” in exchange for stories from the public about how videogames turned them to a life of crime. Developer Naughty Dog plans to release DLC for the fascinating PS3 title before 2010 hits. “We’re working on that now,” Amy Hennig toldIndustry Gamersin a recent conversation, speaking to downloadable content. “Without going into specifics, it’ll involve new maps, new characters, things like that,” the creative director said. Earlier we told youa bit aboutDead Rising 2‘s downloadable content, calledDead Rising: CASE ZERO. This playable prologue ties together the two games. We have a bit of new information on it, but one of the key points is that it is exclusive to Xbox 360. Nothing is planed for the PS3 yet, says producer Shinsaku Ohara. Yeah, so there’s that. On CASE ZERO:Dead Rising 2takes place 5 years after the first game, but the DLC takes place in the middle, some two years after the the original....

It’s the story that never dies, which is ironic because that’s exactly what Xbox 360s keep doing. The old “Red Ring of Death” thing has all but disappeared from the news, but CNET has followed up on aGame Informerstudyto determined that 60% of British consumers have faced the crimson beast. 1,128 gamers were polled in a survey, with 562 Xbox 360 owners, 473 PS3 owners and 591 Wii owners.
