The Dishwasher dev gives own game 1/10

Indie game developer Ska Studios has decided to take inspiration from Peter Molyneux andreview its own upcoming game,The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. Accusing the game of “Falling short of our expectations, and not even looking good while doing so,” the XBLA title scored a 1/10 and some damning criticism. The gameplay is basically broken. The protagonist, a dishwasher, doesn’t actually wash dishes, at least not in the 30-40 minutes of game play we tried before writing this review....

The Guardian wants you to play GTA IV

When Ispoke to Jack Thompson, he was pretty confident that his “side” of the violent games debate had already won. He spoke with the belief that common consensus was on his side and that one day, we’d all be saying “I should have listened to Jack.” While the anti-game lobby thinks it will prevail — despite the history of entertainment media proving them otherwise — the tide is undeniably turning in favor of games, asThe Guardiancontinues to show....

The next Command and Conquer to be an MMO?

The nextCommand and Conquertitle could be different. An online survey making the rounds suggests that Electronic Arts’ is considering putting a touch of MMO in the dated RTS. The features — as listed by the survey — include traditional experience points-laden “player progression,” new “bigger and badder” units, and five versus five “objective-based games.” Chicks and Rick Flair were not mentioned in the survey. There’s nothing in particular that jumps out at us in terms of establishing the survey’s legitimacy, but the feature list is quite rather pointed....

The UK has too many broken 360s for one country to handle

The Xbox 360 seems to be suffering from inverse karma of late. On the one hand, it’s a damn fine machine with a vast library of worthwhile games and a great online service. On the other hand, death seems to eagerly shadow its every footstep. A couple of weeks agowe brought you newsof a crazily high retailer estimate of a 30% failure rate for Microsft’s big white box of joy, and today that bad news has been compounded by some fairly extreme reports from the repair shop end of things....

This is not a joke, sir: Get your face in Street Fighter IV

Before I actually explain this to you, I feel I need to just issue a warning for the sake of damage control. While flailing, you may destroy your computer, nearby consoles, or hit your mom or significant other in the face. What I would recommend is that you sit on your computer chair, tuck your hands under your butt, and attempt to keep spasms to a minimum. Now: Your face could appear inSTREET FIGHTER IV....
