Nintendo DLC update: Real Soccer, Pirate Party, Galaxy Force

The North American DSi Shop sees its first third-party DSiWare this week and it’s…Real Soccer 2009(Gameloft, 1-4 players, 800 DSi Points). I had a chance to play the game at this year’s GDC, and despite the fact that I didn’t have Samit Sarkar behind me telling me where to kick the ball, it seemed like a decent soccer sim. It is “real,” after all. WiiWare gets its obligatory “party” release this month withFamily Pirate Party(Aksys Games, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points)....

Don’t expectS.T.A.L.K.E.R.to grace consoles beforeS.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyatreleases. In a recent conversation with fan siteStalker-Portal, GSC Game World PR boss Oleg Yarovsky made it clear — in his native language — that the PC sequel will hit first. “We think that whatever port ofS.T.A.L.K.E.R.for Xbox 360 won’t come out before the full release of the game’s sequel [Call of Pripyat],” he said. “At the moment, all are busy with preparing the PC version of the game....

No Final Fantasy XIV on the ‘closed’ Xbox 360

Square Enix has said thatFinal Fantasy XIVis not coming to the Xbox 360, and blamed the decision squarely on Microsoft’s own infrastructure. Claiming that the 360 is too “closed” for the upcoming MMO, Square Enix has confirmed thatXIVwill remain exclusive to the PS3 on consoles. For now, anyway. “The main reason why we couldn’t go with Xbox 360 was the Xbox Live system,” explained game director Hiromichi Tanaka. “[Live is] different to the normal internet environment, so when we wanted to introduce this game in the same environment as Windows PC it had to be PS3, so that was our choice....

Noby Noby Boy trailer: what in the hell is going on here
