Sony: 2009 is the ‘year of the PSP’

I know, you’re not listening, sogo right aheadand claim that 2009 will be the year of the PSP. Clearly 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 were all practice years. “I also think 2009 is going to be the year of the PSP,” claimed PlayStation Canada’s PR boy Mark Levitan....

Sony’s motion wand could herald Wii-to-PS3 ports

Unlike Microsoft with Project Natal, Sony wasn’t looking to reinvent the wheel when it debuted the Sony Wiimote at this year’s E3. It basically gives the PS3 the same functionality as the Wii with a little extra kick, but that’s certainly no bad thing according to Capcom’s Jun Takeuchi. In fact, he’s stated that developers are rubbing their hands with glee at the opportunity to port Wii titles to Sony’s big black box o’ Blu-ray....

Suck down this Fable III concept art

Fable IIIis in development, and we can hear the hype wheels slowly begin to grind and turn. It’s starting small, as usual, with this simple piece of concept art showing off a new look for Bowerstone. Things will progress in due course, however, with Peter Molyneux saying that this game will brush our teeth and fly us to the Moon. There’s not too much to say about this. It’s a painting of a town....

Sunday Night Starcraft is a sports flick I would watch

We’ve all seen movies in which a down-and-out athlete beats the odds to win. That’s pretty much the plot of every sports film, it seems, thoughRocky IVis probably my favorite example. Videogames are slowly starting to emerge as competitive sporting events. So, where is our inspirational tale of plucky underdogs who come together to defeat an unstoppable opponent? Here’s a good start. This mock trailer for Sunday Night Starcraft blends together just about every cliché moment you can imagine from sports films with a heavy dollop of dorkiness....
