This Namco Bandai trademark is off the ‘Pac-Chain’

We’re a little over a week away from Namco Bandai’s reveal of the‘next evolution’ of Pac-Man. Will it be “Pac-Chain”? Don’t know, but Namco Bandai just trademarked “Pac-Chain” in Europe for use with videogames and coin-operated machines. As Spencer with Siliconera points out, the mention of coin-op machines specifically is interesting; previousPac-Mantrademarks — like the ones forPac-Man Kart Rally, for instance — made no mention of such machines. To me,Pac-Chainsounds like some totally awesome jewelry or a puzzle game....

Trine soundtrack is out, get the main theme for free!

Trineis that so-beautiful-its-ridiculous side scrolling game that I played at this year’s E3 and wiped my saliva all over. Even our notoriously hard to please Features Editor Anthony Burch gave it a 7.5, which nearly constitutes praise coming from him. The game also had a very pretty soundtrack, if I recall correctly, and now you can own it if you so desire. Available for download atAritunes, it features 20 tracks and features two exclusive bonus tracks....

Ugly gaming clothes: Space Invaders IRL

You know, for everyamazinglytotallysuperblyfantasticallyawesomepiece of gaming clothing we post about here at Destructoid there are probably about a million crappy gaming t-shirts we don’t post about. Horrified at the idea of Gore Verbinski taking on theBioShockmovie? I may have good news for you: according toVariety, the pre-production on the film has come to a screeching halt. If you’ve seen the above video, you may notice something very, very odd. It has nothing to do with video games. I apologize for this, it’s simply too awesome a video not to post....

Wolfenstein 3D level for LittleBigPlanet 2 is, uh, wow

It’s funny how collectively, we always rush to see familiar recreations of beloved properties (Level 1-1, Green Hill Zone, etc.) in user-created content rather than inventive, new ideas. Why play as some no-name character inModNation Racerswhen you may be Optimus PrimeridingOptimus Prime? I suppose there’s nothing wrong with that when you think about how much creativity must have gone into creating something along the lines of this “Sackenstein 3D” level forLittleBigPlanet 2....
