New footage and awful screenshots for Ninja Gaiden DS

I’ve been interested in gettingNinja Gaiden DSever since I first heard about it. I do enjoy thecrazy goreand gameplay of the console version but I guess I haven’t been paying close attention to this game apparently. I watched the video Dale posted on how you’regoing to move in the game— I just never noticed that the how the screen looked like in the trailer. This is the first time I’m finding out that you have to hold your DS like a book,Brain Agestyle....

New screenshots, trailer for PSP RPG Hexyz Force

I got to seean early look at upcoming PSP role-playing gameHexyz Forceearly last month, but now it looks like it’s ready for a primetime debut with both new screenshots and a full trailer coming from Atlus today. You might have heard that this is a 2-in-1 RPG, as it has two stories following two different characters. Their paths intertwine, as you’d expect. Atlus is calling this the gamer’s game, and it certainly looks that way to me....

Night of the Sacrifice will scare the foreskin off you

Here’s a spooky little trailer for Marvelous’ horror game,Night of the Sacrifice. It uses the Wii’s Balance Board which will likely shrink its potential audience even further than it would’ve done, but it is very weird and creepy. That’s worth something. If the Balance Board turns out to be optional, I’m all about this. I won’t, however, buy something just for one game. Especially something my fatness has to stand on....

No touching my VisionBalls

Ever wanted to use your iPad but don’t have enough stupid hands to multitask? No? Alright then. Do even have an iPad? Well, that’s too bad. I’m still gonna tell you about this new tech though so deal with it. According to the grocery store copy machine flyer given to me at this show floor demo, literally sitting on the floor, “building upon the spatial-tracking success of the best-selling applicationsWall PainterandHome Decorator,” this middleware will use the front facing camera in the iOS devices and enable motion tracking for use in games and apps....

OnLive people are ‘chatting’ with Sony and Microsoft

Could there someday be OnLive cloud-based gaming on your Xbox 360 or PS3? It’s too early to say, but OnLive’s Joe Bentley, Engineering VP, says that “it would absolutely work,” and that they’re “ready to work with everybody.” “Absolutely, they would make great consoles,” Bentley toldCVG. “Our controller is a hybrid between a PS3 controller and an Xbox controller. It’s all compatible, it would just work. There are OnLive guys chatting [Sony and MS], but we’ll see where it goes....

Origin Dickery: Battlefield 3 not coming to Steam

On this week’s episode ofOrigin Dickery, it has been revealed that Electronic Arts will not be releasingBattlefield 3via Steam to give its proprietary service another boost. This is according to a release list that EA has tried to pull from the Internet. Interestingly, it will be coming to multiple digital retailers, with a listing spotted for GamersGate and Direct2Drive. This has become one in a growing line of moves by EA to somehow compete with Steam using just its own comparatively tiny selection of published games....

Pandemic: Everyone should beat The Saboteur for its story

What’s worse, a videogame that is so easy it becomes a chore to play, or one that is so cheap, so frustrating, that you never get to see how the narrative plays out? It’s a tough call, and one we usually don’t have to make if the developers did their job right. Let’s say they both suck equally and call it a day. Lead designer ofThe Saboteur, Tom French, told MTV Multiplayerhow the team at Pandemic wants anyone and everyone to be able to “sit down and play through the story....

Paths to success in Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Human Revolutionis one of my most anticipated games of the year. This video helps to show why. It’s a walkthrough for an early objective in the game narrated by designer Mary DeMarle that shows three different methods to achieve a successful conclusion. There is a direct assault, followed by a little stealth and then a touch of exploration. What it doesn’t show are the other two “pillars of gameplay” mentioned: “Hacking” and “Social....

Penile shrinkage imminent: Greenpeace says consoles contain harmful chemicals

Greenpeacehas definitely earned the reputation of tree-hugging hippies, but that’s not always a bad thing — they’ve accomplished a lot in the past with their mission to preserve nature. In the last few years however, they seem to be attacking videogames with a determined passion, even going so far as to make apainful PSAabout the dangers of gaming — starring flinch-worthy recreations of some of our favorite characters. Not content with that fine commercial, Greenpeace continues down the warpath, this time stating that there are chemicals in consoles that may affect sexual development....
