RedLynx has announced that its WiiWare title,MotoHeroz, will be available September 12 for 1500 Wii Points. This cute little racer packs a single-player campaign, leaderboards, as well as a four-player “party mode.” It looks fast and fun, based on what I’ve seen of the game, and I’m getting a Uniracers vibe. The 1500 Wii Points price tag may be justified, too, with more than 100 tracks and planned daily online competitions....

Siliconerais up to its usual trademark snooping and has found that Nintendo is covering all of its Wii U bases in Japan. The trademarks aren’t particularly surprising, mostly plays on what we already have seen with the Wii: Wii Fit U, Wii Sports U, Wii Party U, Wii U Party… I could do this all day. But I don’t have to, because Nintendo already did it with the Japanese trademark office....

Last month, in Tokyo, I was shown a new technology that could end up replacing motor-based controller rumble as we know it. It’s called ViviTouch, and it comes from Artificial Muscle Inc., a Bayer MaterialScience company. Their “high-definition feel” uses a…well, a sort of artificial muscle to give controllers and other devices tactile feedback that actually has varying degrees of real, feel-able movement.
