I have not spoken much about DICE’sMirror’s Edge, mainly because I have been quietly skeptical about the whole thing. It’s not that I assumed it would suck, it’s just that everybody had gotten so instantly excited after a mere thirty seconds of concept footage, and I didn’t want to fall for the hype. I decided instead to withhold all opinion until I finally got to take Faith for a spin around the rooftops myself, so it’s quite fortunate that publisher Electronic Arts decided to release a demo on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live....

According to aBig Downloadreport, the expectedBattlefield: Bad Company 2patch did not drop as planned last afternoon for a good reason: it had problems. The band-aid was ripped off after EA DICE discovered “crash bugs,” which is decidedly more unpleasant than having to continually refresh servers and hitting a “join” button. The studio does have new plans to release the now-troubled patch at some point today, Tuesday, which is totally neat because it’s not like we had plans to playFinal Fantasy XIIIinstead of grinding our Engineer....

That’s what Ska Studios did for its upcoming Xbox Live Arcade slaughterfest,The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile. I got one in the mail yesterday and it’s absolutely adorable; I totally cuddled with it last night as I drifted off to sleep. This is quite the contradiction to the game, which features copious amounts of violence and blood, set against a gritty, almost disturbing art style....

Here it is, your official box art for the base edition ofDJ Hero. My first reaction was that it looks like a musical ransom note of sorts. My second reaction was “Oh, snap! They’re mixing Beastie Boys with Bel Biv effin’ Devoe!” But the inclusion of theGuitar Heroname and logo, displayed proudly on the box, definitely caught me off guard. Koei has announced that the next installment of its hack n’ slash flagship,Dynasty Warriors 7, will not be a PS3 exclusive when it leaves Japan. Once it comes to North America and Europe, it’ll be available in both PS3 and Xbox 360 flavor. Now the haters have two versions to ignore! Dynasty Warriors 7will advance the story to include the Jin Dynasty, boast more playable characters than before, and support both PlayStation Move and 3D....

This new footage features a lot of the Jin Dynasty characters, including Sima Yi, whose new Musou animation is hilariously evil. you may’t have a Dynasty Warriors game without some maniacal Sima Yi laughter. While I’m still a little bummed that a lot of characters will be sharing the same weapons — therefore sporting the same movesets — I’m still pretty confident that I’ll get a lot of fun out of this....

It’s so wonderful to see that Capcom is continuing the tradition of bad voice acting in theirResident Evilfranchise.Beyond the horrible voice acting presented by Mr. Fireworks, we get to see an assortment of new baddies inResident Evil 5. Some of which include a El Gigante looking creature, a creature that reminds me of the Leech monster human forms fromResident Evil 0, and a guy with a giant hammer that likes to smash in nuts....
