Wow, seriously? In a sales battle between two worthless things that nobody asked for, you may’t get more pointless than a war between the iPad and Kinect. Nevertheless, Microsoft’s corporate VP in charge of sunglasses, Kudo Tsunoda, has claimed that Kinect will annihilate the iPad when it launches. “The pre-orders have been really strong,” he boasts. “As far as what we’re looking at for Holiday, this is going to be stuff that’ll blow away any of the sales you’ve seen with iPad....

GamePolitics, the only gaming blog read by Henry Kissinger, hasa storythat deftly illustrates the “ethical creativity” present in many of our elected officials. As a response to the ruling, Rep. Burrellwrote an op-ed piecein the Shreveport Times, lambasting The Times and the federal judge who made the ruling for (metaphorically) laughing at him, and punching his elderly mother in the jaw. He also saw fit to point out the mountain of evidence supporting his position via the time-honored method of citing the work of people much smarter than himself....

ASpanish forumhas posted an absolutely wonderful set of pictures depicting Master Chief eulogizing and mourning a lost friend at a funeral attended by a gathering of grief-stricken consoles. The friend in question is, of course, a failed Xbox 360 and the pictures are, of course, quite hilarious. Weep openly as Master Chief and an artist’s mannequin console each other over the loss of a deceased console, and share the sorrow as the Spartan hero reads out his final farewell....

If you felt that today was lacking a few ironic laughs, you’ll be pleased to know that Steve Easterbrook, the chief executive for McDonald’s UK, hasrecently blamed videogames and TVfor child obesity. While he quasi-admitted that it might also have something to do with the slabs of greasy, processed cow anus in bread that his company sells, Easterbrook has hopped aboard the “blame everything on games” bandwagon to take off some of the heat:...

Capcom continues pimping the Blue Bomber, withMega Man IIIreleasing for cell phones today. Calling it a “faithful translation,” the only real change is the addition of a savepoint feature that allows players to stop the game and pick it back up at a more convenient time. The game is available for Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T services. As if anyone needed reminding, this is the first game in the series to feature Rush and introduces Mega Man’s ability to slide....

On crouching, Inafune revealed: I’ve often heard people say, ‘Mega Man can’t crouch,’ but we actually had a dot graphic of him crouching while we were working on 1. On the NES, with only a split second to see the slight height difference, the player wouldn’t really be able to differentiate between a projectile that could only be dodged by jumping, and one that could only be dodged by crouching....

I’ve lost track — Is this the ninth or tenth installment of this series now? Sure, there has been a lot of sequels to this game, but the DS one should help in revitalizing the series. From the looks of the trailer and screenshots, Mario and the gang have been shrunken down to little itty bitty versions of their former selves by Bowser. And instead of taking over the Mushroom Kingdom, he forces everyone to play their version ofMonopoly, more or less....

Burnout Paradiseis easily my pick of this week. I love the series and have had a lot of funwith the demoand when I had some hands-on with this game too. We should have a review of the game pretty soon too. Speaking of reviews, we will also have one forEndless Oceanand yes,Chad is doing the review.
