I Am Alive rating reminds us that the game is coming

Surely I’m not the only one who forgotI Am Alivewas still in existence? We’ve heard nothing about it from Ubisoft in recent months, which wouldn’t be such a big deal had E3 not just taken place. A listing on the Australian Classification Board’s website indicatesthis isn’t vaporware. The multiplatform rating notes “strong violence” with its MA 15+ classification. The game is about a post-earthquake Chicago, after all. We can’t have mere children running around the city in those conditions....

[It’s time for anotherMonthly Musing— the monthly community blog theme that provides readers with a chance to get their articles and discussions printed on the frontpage. — CTZ] Gaming has changed much in the time I first gripped the uncomfortable square-like controllers of the Sega Master System at the tender age of 6. Infinite Space trailer looks like an anime that you play

Dale Northbrought you some screens yesterdayfrom the upcoming DS RPGInfinite Space, and today a trailer popped up that we thought you might enjoy. While no actual gameplay is shown, you can get a feel for the story and characters by watching it, and it pretty much looks like what I imagine playing an anime would be like. Introducing X-Men: Destiny’s Aimi Yoshida

Considering it’s being developed by a well-known developer (Silicon Knights) and is based on a popular comic book franchise, we certainly haven’t heard much aboutX-Men: Destiny. Maybe that’s about to change, starting with the reveal of one of the game’s new mutant heroes, Aimi Yoshida. Activision tells us that Aimi was smuggled out of Japan on a tanker ship, just as her family was about to be rounded up and put in a mutant containment camp....

Japanese Wii manual = hilarity

It’s been a long-standing tradition that the warning illustrations and information found inside the manuals of Japanese electronics has to be funny. I believe it’s actually Japanese law. Nintendo has not let us down, as these scans from the Japanese Wii users manual so hilariously illustrate. Check them out and no matter what you do, don’t stick a four leaf clover into the back of your Wii. That’s almost as stupid and dangerous as chewing on the sensor bar’s cord!...

Mistwalker boss: God of War III’s intro movie is too long

Mistwalker boss Hironobu Sakaguchi is well known for his traditional RPGs, but that doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy a blood-soaked Western action game. The game designer is a fan of recent Sony blockbusterGod of War III, although he does think the ridiculously epicintro movie is too long. “A long opening movie,” says Sakaguchi, explaining his one big issue with the game. “It’s nicely done, but you don’t need this. It’s movie-like, but you don’t need long openings in games … Sorry, my English is poor....
