Blizzard is currently prepping patch 1.1 forStarCraft II, which it hopes to get out around mid-September. Here’s what we can look forward to: more mod features, bug fixes, improvements to the editor and custom games, support for NVIDIA’s 3D Vision, standardized hotkey options, and more. The patch will make “the Standard (US) and Standard for Lefties (US) hotkey options available in all regions.” And then there’s the balancing stuff, which I have to imagine will anger many a vocalStarCraft IIplayer for reasons I cannot fully comprehend....

It’s 2045 and ecological unrest forces folks to take refuge on a floating city known as The Ark. Designed as a clean and green living alternative, The Ark was built to house 5,000 people. So I guess it’s a problem that it’s now home to some 50,000 folks, as everyone is running out of not only space to live, but essential day-to-day supplies....

TheBuzz!quiz game series for the PlayStation systems isn’t the only thing thatRelentless Softwarecan put out. In fact, they’re working on a new secret project, and it seems that they’re hiring for it now. “Despite the current economic crisis, we’re pleased to say that we’re still hiring,” wrote the developer on its website. “We have some open positions for our future Buzz titles and we’re also hiring for our self-published Secret Project, more news of which in the coming months....

Hot on the heels of the brand new,longerResident Evil 5trailer, comes some fancy new screenshots, straight from Capcom. Like the trailer, they answer few questions, and do little more than throw us into a tizzy of anticipation. Capcom also tells us that the trailer is now available in HD on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and should soon be available for download on the PlayStation Store (if it’s not already). With the little information we have about this game, now might be the perfect time to start coming up with our own story based on the screens and videos we’ve seen so far....

But whether we’re talking fighting games or real-time strategy, you really can’t play as the same thing every single time, so I also tend to side with the Chaos Space Marines on occasion.
