A 30-year-old man suspected of jacking an SUV was arrested at his home recently, and under the most ironic circumstances you could imagine. When police arrived at his home for stealing cars in real life, he was stealing cars in a videogame — playingGrand Theft Auto III. No further evidence required, methinks. Michael Ray Ekes of Haines City, Florida, had left the stolen vehicle outside of his home, which, of course, led police to a fairly easy arrest....

Rumors ofGuitar Herobeing moved over to practically every console in existence have been rampant for a while now. Well, it looks like we’ve finally got a release date for the 360 version from Activision.Guitar Hero 2will be releasing in March in both, the U.S. and Europe, and will, of course, feature a crapload of exclusive downloadable content via Live. The game itself will feature better graphics (it better), new songs and the new wired X-Plorer guitar designed specifically for the 360 release....

Activision knows what it is doing, that much is clear. For anyone who doesn’t know about DLC orRock Band— which is, in all probability, a large chunk of the population —Guitar Hero: Smash Hitsis going to be like some sort of rock n’ roll godsend. For those of us that do know about DLC andRock Band, it seems a little less special, but at least we’ll all be saving money if we pick it up, right?...

When it comes to the unholy act of squishing a console into a smaller, slightly-more-portable shell, most homemade devices usually offer either style or functionality, but not both. Hailrazer’s Kamikaze 64, on the other hand, appears to be sexy and packed with features. It’s all about the little touches, like opting to include parts from a GameCube controller for better comfort, video output, and even slapping an I/O port on the device’s backside....

Rolling Stone’s blog let loose news today that the albums of Jimi Hendrix, the greatest guitarist of all time, will be released as DLC forRock Band. And it’s coming really soon. The first album released will beAxis: Bold as Love, Hendrix’s second studio album, and it comes out next Tuesday, March 30th, to Xbox 360. PSN users will get the album on April 1st. But that’s apparently not all. Hendrix’s other albums,Are You Experienced?...

Gameloft catches crap for “ripping off” console games, and it can be pretty shameless at times. However, it also produces some pretty good quality mobile gaming, so I’m excited to see what it’s got coming up for the rest of the year. It’s got several licenses and spin-offs, includingHarry PotterandAssassin’s Creed: Revelations, alongside some sequels such asGangstar: RioandAsphalt 6: Adrenaline. However,Wild West Gunsis the biggest reveal. It’s described as the “first” open-world Western game on mobile — and there’s no prizes for guessing that it’ll be a big copy ofRed Dead....

SEGA has released a new promotional video forThor: God of Thunder, one of those behind-the-scenes jobbers where they interview developers. They discuss the approach that was taken towards making the battles of Thor appropriate for his godly status from enemy design to music. Additionally, Red Fly Studios is on hand to talk about how the Wii version isn’t some mere port of its HD cousins. The scale of the game is what I find appealing about it....

Infinity Blade(formerlyProject Sword) is the iOS RPG from Chair and Epic Games and right above we have a new trailer for it. It gives us our first look at the touchscreen friendly RPG. As you can see you’ll be slicking and dicing with a swipe of your finger. Also as you can see it looks damn gorgeous. Along with the video came a few more details on the game. We now know that there will be further support for the game with DLC....

I MET THE POWER RANGERS! YES!!!!!!!!!!! Easily the highlight of my E3, and for that matter any E3 I’ve attended, was getting to hang out with the Power Rangers. We posed, we danced and then the Power Rangers kicked me out of their own booth to play their game. I cried. Before all that, Austin Keys, Producer onPower Rangers Samurai, showed me what we could expect from the upcoming title....

Other Ocean is taking their own approach toThe War of the Worlds, turning it into a rotoscoped 16-bit style platformer in the tradition ofFlashbackandOut of this World/Another Worldrather than making another typical licensed game. If anything, it sounds like a far cry from the mess of Spielberg’s interpretation of 2006’sWar of the Worlds.And even though I had never even heard of this game before E3, I’m foaming at the mouth with anticipation now....
