Pre-order Overlord, get Minion figurine, make me jealous

The life of a reviewer might seem pretty cushy to you lot. Sure, we get free games, but there’s a downside that you must consider. First of all, we have to play a bunch of wank likeVelvet Assassin, and secondly, we get to miss out on hot pre-orders like this one.Gamestopis offering a free Minion figurine to anybody pre-orderingOverlord II,Overlord Dark LegendandOverlord Minions. My envy is incalculable. One of four random Minions will be yours if you pre-order any of the three games, and they look pretty damn adorable....

PSP Go deconstructed, innards explored

Deja vu? Here’s how slow of a news day this is (part two): I finished up a bit more work and then bought a new mattress. Then I went out withmy friendfor lunch. I did a bit more work on the road, paid some bills, got some of that Vitamin Water and then answered emails. Slow, folks. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t have ran this blurb on a deconstructed PSP Go anyway, but I just want to let you know where we’re coming from today....

You don’t know why since it makes little to no sense (some of which we can blame on Google Translate), but you want it....

Shrieking GameStop woman calls to remind me about Lich King midnight launch

I get a lot of phone calls, many from phone numbers I don’t recognize. I’m a man of technology, preferring to do my business over email and text messages, so I let many go straight to voice mail. When a Texas-based call came in today, I hit “ignore” on my cell, instead deciding to fight with the slightly-brokenKillzone 2beta servers. When I checked the voice mail later, I was greeted by a high-pitched shriek in my ear....

Some had to do it: Shooting a DSi through a wall

Anytime you use something for anything other than its intended use, I dig it. Make toast with a blowtorch? Cool. Fry an egg on a car engine? Awesome. Use a Nintendo DSi as a wrecking ball? Fantastic. French gaming magazine Amusement (creepy webpage) really wanted to put a DSi through a wall, I guess. They did, and the photographic result is everything you’d hope it would be. The DSi spits in half, of course, but it makes it through a wall successfully, taking wall pieces with it....
