Microsoft unveils touch-centric Windows 8 OS

Windows 8 is coming. Are you ready? Microsoft debuted its next-generation PC operating system, currently codenamed “Windows 8,” at All Things Digital’s D9 conference yesterday. The company calls the OS a “reimagining of Windows, from the chip to the interface”; the latter was the focus at D9. Midnight Club: Los Angeles runs into a delay

Rockstar San Diego has announced that their upcoming racer for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360,Midnight Club: Los Angeles, needs a bit more maintenance under the hood before it’s ready to peel out onto store shelves. Accordingly, the previous September 9 release date has now been moved back to October 7. The delay should hopefully mean further improvements, as Rockstar promises a complete lack of load times as you drive around their virtual representation of LA at speeds that will likely far exceed the posted speed limits....

Natsume announces Princess Debut for Nintendo DS

Dale Northand I occasionally conversate on the topic of guilty pleasure games, a genre which we both indulge in on a semi-regular basis. Games likeEarth Defense Force 2017are almost universally acceptable as guilty pleasures, but I’m not talking about acceptable. What I’m talking about are titles likeNintendogs— they are clearly made for children, but you find yourself enjoying them anyway. Princess Debutis sure to fall squarely in that category. An original IP from Natsumi, you play a girl who has stepped through a magical portal and finds herself in the role of a princess....

New Pokemon Black/White images to squint at

Perhaps it’s a case of the pictures being tiny and the game looking superior in motion, but I’m not feeling the sprawling city shown in these freshPokemon Black/Whitescreenshots. I never thought I’d be one to fear change; here I am, fearing the hell out of our new wonky-looking starter overlords. It’s almost certainly way too early to judge these games, so I’ll try to contain myself here. The main positive I can see coming out of this drastic shift in style and tone is the slight chance the menus will get a reboot....
