I was pretty excited when I first heard aboutValkyria Chroniclesearlier this year. More RPGs on the PlayStation 3 is certainly a good thing, andValkyria’s eye pleasing art style certainly helped to catch my attention. The game’s visuals were created with the CANVAS graphics engine, which is certainly an apt name, seeing as how it makes the game look like a moving watercolor painting. Our good friends over at Tomopop spotted this exceptional custom toy. It’s Ethan fromHeavy Rainand I’m really impressed with the detail. Now, if only it had a button you could press so head shout, “David!” That would make it absolutely perfect. Peter Molyneux had one goal in mind forFable II: to make a game you’d never forget. “What I did withFable II,” he told us a few weeks ago at Tokyo Game Show, “is I wrote on this board, ‘I’m going to make a game people will never forget.’ They will never forget the story, and they will never forget the experience.” We’ve grown used to this kind of grand talk from Molyneux, well-known for touting the originalFableas ‘the best role playing game of all time’ before its release....
Sure, a lot of us are salivating overFallout 3, whether we were previous fans of the series or just seeing it for the first time. Longtime fans know that the wait betweenFallout 2andFallout 3was not easy to bear … no fan should have to wait eight years inbetween installments of their favorite series (if I had to wait that for a Silent Hill, I’d be on the verge of suicide.)...
[Update: Warner Bros. has confirmed us that the game will ship in “Spring 2011.” This jives with GameStop’s current April release, but we’ll have to wait for official date and commitment from Warner for confirmation.] Destructoid has been able to confirm today that Day 1 Studios upcoming first-person shooter,FEAR 3, won’t see release until 2011. The game was originally scheduled for late October 2010, just in time for Halloween. No reason for the delay was given by the Warner Bros....
EA Sports has released the first look at the upcomingFight Night Champion, and it’s full of sweat, bloody lips, and drama. Set for release next year,Fight Night Championaims for a grittier vibe than the previous games, and that definitely comes across in this clip. There seems to be a heavier focus on narrative, which jives with the more emotional and dramatic direction the developers have hinted at in the past....

A furious customer has filed a lawsuit against GameStop after he bought a used of copy of Dragon Age: Origins and couldn’t obtain the content promised on the box. James Collins bought a used copy at a $5 discount, claiming that he expected all the content promised on the box....
As if we really needed the confirmation, Gene Simmons has announced that the next chapter in its mercilessly raped music game series,Guitar Hero 6. Yep, that’s right, it’ll be starring everybody’s favorite Kiss frontman and part-time lizard. Simmons made the announcement onITN, a news program in the UK. He declared he was going to be “the voice ofGuitar Hero 6” during an interview. Evil publisher Activision is yet to make an official announcement, but you don’t get much more authoritative than Gene Simmons....
