Minecraftis probably the single most successful indie game ever made. It has sold almost3 million copies, and it isn’t even out yet. It’s success is well-earned, though. Mojang created a remarkably simple tool set and let players run wild. We’ve already seen afully functional computer, loads ofpixel artandeven the planet earth. Now we have yet another example of obscenely imaginative people with perhaps a tad too much time on their hands....

The Nintendo World Store in New York City shut its doors yesterday, but it’s only temporary. Nintendo is currently in the process of giving the store a full facelift, and will re-open on November 1. It sounds like a pretty meaty makeover, too. The “Nintendo Showcase,” which features rare and old-school Nintendo products, will be nearly doubled in size. Additionally, the new store will get new floors, new lighting, new interactive kiosks for the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL, along with fancy new store graphics....

Not only is Japan getting a collector’s edition ofNo More Heroes 2, complete with prequel film written by series creator Suda51 and a hentai comic, but the game itself is getting new content as well. The WTF-factor of the above video is overwhelming! Never would I have imagined that I’d be able to see an animated Japanese Xbox 360 with two passengers on its back fly over a city, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised — this video did come from Japan, after all. Earlier in the week, aNeoGAF userspotted a strange Nintendo-branded item on the OAMI (the pan-European trademark registry) — a pedometer. Assuming it would be used forWii Fit, the talk eventually dwindled and the little box was forgotten. But no! The pedometer is actually a part of an upcoming DS title calledYour Life Rhythm, which is surely the latest innovation in Nintendo’s master plan to conquer the world of non-gamers one housewife at a time....
